    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a <strong>Roadway Engineer Intern (E.I.)</strong> with <strong>0 to 4 years</strong> of professional experience to be part of our <strong>Transportation</strong> Division in our<strong> Jacksonville, FL</strong> office.</p>\n<p>In this position, you will assist in the development of transportation design projects for clients such as state, county and municipal transportation agencies. The candidate will work in a fast-paced engineering environment where projects may be derived from a number of delivery methods including conventional Bid-Build and Design-Build projects. Over the last two decades, WGI has delivered a variety of transportation projects including some of the largest and most complex interstate projects in the state of Florida. If you think you are an innovative team-player and want to shape your community, join our WGI team today!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>WGI offers a complete Benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD & STD, Life Insurance, 401k with match, PTO, Holidays, HSA with company contribution, Pet insurance, and Employee assistance program.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> #LI-onsite</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop engineering designs including geometric alignments, profiles, cross sections, construction and maintenance of traffic details</li>\n <li>Assist in the creation of engineering documents including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Reports, and Variation/Exception Reports</li>\n <li>Generate construction plans using <strong>Microstation/GEOPAK and 3D Corridor Modeling</strong></li>\n <li>Perform construction quantity estimates</li>\n <li>Cross-train in other transportation disciplines</li>\n <li>Develop plans, calculations and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teams</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college</li>\n <li>Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam – EI required</li>\n <li>Experience with Microstation/GEOPAK</li>\n <li>Experience with GEOPAK Corridor Modeling or Open Roads required</li>\n <li>Familiarity with FDOT plans preparation criteria and design standards a plus</li>\n <li>Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and work on large multi-discipline engineering teams</li>\n <li>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
