    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Job Summary:&nbsp; The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for administering physical therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Implements treatment most appropriate to the patient’s learning style and therapeutic needs, communicating goals with the patient and/or family members, considering psycho-social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and/or families based on plan of care developed by the Physical Therapist.</li>\n <li>Provides therapeutic interventions for a wide variety of physical and/or functional limitations related to, but not limited to musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and developmental impairments, documenting progress with measurable and functional goals.</li>\n <li>Maintain patient records according to hospital policy, completing progress and treatment notes, charges, and discharge summaries within regulatory and departmental time guidelines.</li>\n <li>Assists in adjusting schedules to accommodate changes in caseload in the department.&nbsp; Meets with PT on regular basis to discuss patient and set goals.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Contributes to the overall performance of the department through professional development strategies, including, but not limited to&nbsp;competency training,&nbsp;clinical instructor, in service coordination, program leader, attendance of meetings, mentor to new hires and performance improvement ideas.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in education offerings, independently achieve and maintain CEU’s for SC LLR.</li>\n <li>Communicates with physicians, other medical personnel and members of the interdisciplinary medical team regarding treatment provided,&nbsp;patient’s progress or complications, recommendations,&nbsp;and clarification of orders.</li>\n <li>Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
