The BIM Modeler supports the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) process through accurate digital representation of electrical systems and maintains close communication with VDC Coordinators to ensure coordination, clash-free modeling, and successful prefabrication and field execution. #Miller #LI-JJ1 \n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Utilize plans laid out by Project Layout Designers (PLD) to build a digital model according to Miller Electric standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Use Revit to Utilize basic modeling tools</p></li>\n <li><p>Gain a working knowledge of conduit systems, equipment types, supports, and related electrical components.</p></li>\n <li><p>Set and manage Revit View Ranges, View Templates, Section Views, and 3D Views to create effective floor plans and model visuals.</p></li>\n <li><p>Model conduit accurately, including bends, offsets, standard spacing, and routing to junction boxes, panels, and stub-ups.</p></li>\n <li><p>Add conduit labels and input parameters such as Conduit ID, To/From, and Panel Name.</p></li>\n <li><p>Model hangers, racks, and support systems for conduit and cable tray runs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Model cable trays in accordance with code-required clearances, correct types/sizes, and submittals.</p></li>\n <li><p>Place and coordinate lighting fixtures based on RCPs and submittals, maintaining proper elevation and mounting.</p></li>\n <li><p>Insert and space electrical equipment such as switchgear, panels, transformers, and disconnects based on submittal cut sheets and clearance requirements.</p></li>\n <li><p>Populate and maintain Revit schedules (Conduit, Equipment, Cable Tray, Material, etc.); export to CSV for prefab and field use.</p></li>\n <li><p>Create 2D/3D ISO and fabrication shop drawings according to standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Perform clash detection using Navisworks (Manage) or BIM 360 Model Coordination; resolve spatial conflicts and document adjustments.</p></li>\n <li><p>Participate in virtual construction coordination meetings to review clashes, discuss routing changes.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain project documentation and trackers (spool checklists, drawing tracker updates).</p></li>\n <li><p>Review work for accuracy and compliance with Miller Electric standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support prefab and construction teams with accurate and up-to-date model data.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum two years electrical experience in Revit and Navisworks required</li>\n <li>Previous exposure to electrical construction or drafting (field or academic experience) preferred</li>\n <li>Familiarity with electrical components, systems, and NEC code preferred</li>\n <li>Experience in the construction trade preferred</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft 365</li>\n <li>COINS experience preferred </li>\n</ul> \n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, dental and vision plan options</li>\n <li>401k retirement with company matching</li>\n <li>Disability Insurance</li>\n <li>Basic and Supplemental Life Insurance </li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts</li>\n <li>Travel Accident Insurance </li>\n <li>Paid Vacation & Holidays</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement Program</li>\n <li>College Coach Services</li>\n <li>Wellness initiative </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
