Ranked as a top PMCM firm by Engineering News-Record (ENR) for more than three decades, our award-winning team provides a full range of services to public and private sector clients in the aviation; healthcare; education (K-12 and higher); justice and essential services; science and technology; state and local government; transportation; water and wastewater; energy; and commercial, residential and nonprofit markets.</p>\n<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages, overseas and coordinates all facets of the pre-construction, bid and award,construction and close-out phase of all assigned projects</li>\n <li>Reviews pre-construction documents and submits comments to Designer as necessary</li>\n <li>Plans, organizes, and prepares reports to upper management with respect to the status and/orprogress of the projects</li>\n <li>Coordinates with all pertinent public agencies during pre-construction and construction to complywith all off-site work; coordinates with various District and Project staff</li>\n <li>Manages both the project budget and schedule to meet the District’s qualitative standards;monitors project budget on a monthly basis and ensures that the budget accurately reflects theproject status/progress</li>\n <li>Manages the daily activities of the contractor, reviews contractors’ construction schedules andsubmittals, and coordinates responses to the contractors’ inquiries through the Requests forClarifications (RFC) and other related documents</li>\n <li>Reviews substitution submittals from contractors to ensure specification and/or Districtrequirements are complied with</li>\n <li>Receives, reviews, and negotiates Contractor Change Order Proposal(s) to achieve a fair &reasonable price in accordance with the General Conditions; reviews and addresses any and allSchedule impacts in accordance with the project specifications in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Reviews the process and monitors payments for the contractor, architects, engineers and anyother pertinent parties</li>\n <li>Administers provisions of Professional Service Agreements between Architects and the District</li>\n <li>Coordinates District delivery of related fixtures, furniture and equipment</li>\n <li>Monitors and manages project close-out with respect to project certification with the Division ofState Architects (DSA) and project financial close out</li>\n <li>Perform other related duties assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in architecture,engineering, or construction management\n  <ul>\n   <li>OR Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree. The candidate mustbe able to complete the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential within one (1) year ofemployment in the Facilities Services Division of the Los Angeles Unified School District.</li>\n   <li>OR Possession of a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential may be substituted for therequired education</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Ten (10) years full time paid professional experience in Construction and/or a combination ofProject and Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public/Educational FacilityConstruction.
