    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Role</span> SafeRide Health is seeking an Information Security Specialist to support and strengthen our information security program across technology, operations, and compliance. This role works closely with Information Technology, Product Engineering, and the Security Operations Center (SOC) to protect sensitive data and systems by applying core information security principles — including confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA Triad) — in support of SafeRide’s mission to reduce barriers to care.<br><br>The Information Security Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining a strong security posture, supporting HITRUST certification efforts, and ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems that power healthcare transportation nationwide.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p>• Maintain and continuously improve SafeRide Health’s operational security posture across systems, networks, and data.<br>• Conduct scheduled continuous monitoring activities, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual security audits and reporting.<br>• Configure, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain security platforms and tooling across the organization.<br>• Administer, configure, and maintain Cisco Security Cloud and related security technologies.<br>• Support and enhance the Information Security Management Framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.<br>• Partner with internal stakeholders to support efforts to obtain and maintain HITRUST certification.<br>• Prepare and maintain security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports, and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&amp;Ms).<br>• Assist the Security Operations Center by reviewing alerts, triaging events, and escalating security incidents as appropriate.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and governance committees to ensure consistent application of security policies and standards across all technology projects and services.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p>• Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant information security or cybersecurity experience, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree.<br>• Working understanding of defense-in-depth security principles and common security controls used for threat detection, analysis, and mitigation.<br>• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the cybersecurity field.<br>• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.<br>• Reliable, adaptable, and willing to support operational security needs as required.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications</span></p>\n<p>• Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts, including common ports, protocols, traffic flow, and the OSI model.Current active security certification, such as CompTIA Security+, ISC2 CISSP, or ISACA CISA.Experience supporting healthcare, regulated, or compliance-driven environments.<br>• Familiarity with HITRUST, SOC 2, or similar security frameworks.<br>• Hands-on experience supporting or interacting with a Security Operations Center (SOC).<br>• Experience administering cloud-based security platforms.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span></p>\n<p>• An inclusive, encouraging, and collaborative company culture<br>• Strong support for career growth<br>• Competitive compensation with upside for growth (including stock options and performance grants)<br>• Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance<br>• 401(k) match and generous PTO</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About Us:</span></p>\n<p>SafeRide Health is a technology and services company dedicated to reducing barriers to care by improving the delivery of non-emergency medical transportation to people across America.
