Beginning as a small family business a half century ago, we are now a dynamic group of vertically integrated companies that has been growing and prospering for 50 years.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Company provided on-the-job vehicle to meet job responsibilities </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs all work according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.</li>\n <li>Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.</li>\n <li>Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, electronic components, and lighting fixtures.</li>\n <li>Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance Machine Repairer and Maintenance Tool Maker, to diagnose malfunction.</li>\n <li>Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.</li>\n <li>Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus</li>\n <li>Drive between locations to complete responsibilities</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school in a relevant electrical field OR six months related electrical experience and/or training\n  <ul>\n   <li>Consideration may be given for equivalent combination of education and experience </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Driver’s License</li>\n <li>Clean driving record</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills\n  <ul>\n   <li>Read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating, maintenance, and procedure manuals</li>\n   <li>Routine reports and correspondence</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Knowledge of database software, internet software, and order processing systems</li>\n <li>Technical electrical skills and learning agility</li>\n <li>Problem solving</li>\n <li>Teamwork</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One year related electrical experience and/or training</li>\n <li>Experience in manufacturing plants, especially asphalt or concrete</li>\n <li>Experience in surface mining</li>\n <li>Experience with heavy civil and/or road construction</li>\n <li>OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications</li>\n <li>Any other qualities or certifications that are nice to have but not required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
