LA28 does not provide relocation assistance. The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities. LA28, the organizers for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, is on a mission to create an unparalleled Games experience for athletes, fans, partners, our community and our people. We are visionaries building the unexpected, grounded in the creative spirit of Los Angeles. With Games time fast approaching, our team is hard at work executing on every creative detail. We are looking for an Associate Project Manager to help guide the way for successful delivery. Reporting to the Manager, Project Manager — Milestones, this individual will play a critical role in supporting the development of design assets across multiple creative verticals. With a keen understanding of creative processes, they will independently manage projects from intake to delivery, driving timelines, supporting development workflows, and ensuring smooth collaboration with stakeholders across the organization. This role will bring guidance and clarity to projects across brand, motion, and 3D environmental deliverables. It requires the ability to balance multiple projects in varying stages of development simultaneously, ensuring requirements and executional expectations are met for each asset. Positioned for a wide creative reach, each day will offer new opportunities for this individual to build expertise in a variety of disciplines and become a trusted source of truth for teams throughout the Games. Key Responsibilities: Independently manage projects from beginning to end, ensuring all project requirements are met and timelines stay on track Lead project intake sessions and guide conversations to capture and consolidate details, requirements, and timing for entry into the project tracker Build workback schedules and project plans reflecting the development processes for the different creative verticals, being mindful of the requirements for each discipline Exercise knowledge of project tiering, resource availability, and team capabilities to ensure project requests are submitted with proper lead times and are within the scope of the team Use project management tools to track statuses, record and report important updates, and monitor project health Proactively assess projects for risks and flag issues and potential solutions before they become delays Guide review processes with stakeholders, clearly communicating the focus of the reviews and what feedback is needed, and ensuring consolidated notes are received and distributed on schedule Background & Qualifications: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in project management in either an in-house or agency setting Thorough understanding of creative processes from concept to execution Strong planning and organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of completion simultaneously, balancing shifting levels of priority Skilled in stakeholder management across cross-functional partners, setting timelines, identifying dependencies, and driving work forward to meet deadlines Proactive problem solver with an eye for risk assessment and a bias toward action Proficient in Smartsheet or similar project management tools (Asana, Wrike, Workfront) Working knowledge of creative tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma Comfortable in a Microsoft environment including Word, Excel, and Outlook Position Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Expectations: Ability to foster trusting relationships with teammates, cross-functional partners, and stakeholders Capable of working independently and proactive in communicating project statuses, surfacing blockers, and keeping involved team members aligned Naturally organized with a systematic approach to using structured workflows and managing project documentation Excellent verbal and written communication, able to clearly and concisely convey information across audiences A passion for design, culture, and the power of creative storytelling at a global scale This isn’t just another gig — it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape the look, feel, and experience of LA28. If you’re ready to deliver projects that will live on in Olympic and Paralympic history for generations to come, let’s build together Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to work on-site in an open office environment, based in Los Angeles, CA The majority of the work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games Submission Requirements: Resume The annual base salary range for this position is $69,000.00 - $75,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law. LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.
