The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Open to internal and external candidates. </em></strong>The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will install, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems to ensure they comply with safety codes and function correctly.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Runs wires, mounts sensors and detectors, installs control panels, and ensures all components are properly connected and placed according to blueprints</li>\n <li>Configures and programs fire alarm panels and systems to meet specific building requirements</li>\n <li>Use specialized equipment to test system functionality and identify issues</li>\n <li>Conducts routine checks and use of specialized equipment to test system functionality. This includes verifying all components—such as smoke detectors, sirens, and control panels—are working correctly.</li>\n <li>Diagnoses malfunctions, troubleshooting system issues, and performing necessary repairs to keep systems operational</li>\n <li>Perform routine maintenance tasks to include cleaning devices and replacing batteries</li>\n <li>Responds to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and fix alarms and system issues</li>\n <li>Isolate Suppression System for Outages</li>\n <li>Use a variety of hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments</li>\n <li>Inspect, test and maintain suppression systems in accordance with UFC 3-601-2</li>\n <li>Operate Government motor vehicles and/or other equipment</li>\n <li>Ensures all work adheres to federal, state, and local fire safety codes, including standards from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)</li>\n <li>Keeps accurate records of all installations, inspections, and repairs</li>\n <li>It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as required </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Education with five years’ experience and knowledge of electrical equipment, circuits, and electronic components related to alarm systems is necessary </li>\n <li>NICET Certification (Level I and II)</li>\n <li>Familiar with various types of sprinkler systems</li>\n <li>Familiar with basic mathematical functions is required</li>\n <li>Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network</li>\n <li>Current U. S.
