Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality management, industrialization readiness, process validation, and continuous improvement activities within automotive manufacturing programs. The role involves ensuring supplier process maturity, supporting new product launches, monitoring industrial performance, managing quality risks, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve quality, delivery, and manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in automotive supplier quality processes, industrialization activities, APQP, process capability assessment, and supplier development methodologies. Responsibilities Lead supplier quality activities for new product industrialization and production readiness. Ensure lessons learned from previous projects and current production are incorporated into new supplier industrialization programs. Assess supplier manufacturing maturity and readiness for new product launches. Support milestone deliverables related to supplier quality and production approvals. Monitor tooling development activities and manufacturing process planning. Drive Product and Process Qualification activities (APQP) with suppliers. Perform process qualification assessments and support supplier process approval activities. Validate manufacturing process capability and capacity assessments. Identify industrialization risks and establish mitigation plans. Coordinate resolution of process-related issues through cross-functional expert teams. Support escalation management during project and production phases. Assess impact of engineering changes and product modifications on supplier manufacturing readiness. Ensure compliance of supplied components to quality and manufacturing requirements. Monitor supplier operational performance including quality, logistics, and manufacturing efficiency. Participate in supplier capability evaluation and supplier selection activities. Review supplier site risks and recommend improvement actions. Ensure compliance to process controls and contractual quality requirements. Support containment and crisis management activities related to supplier quality issues. Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with supply chain and risk management teams during logistics or production disruptions. Work closely with supplier leadership teams to improve manufacturing performance and operational excellence. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline. Experience in automotive supplier development and supplier quality management. Exposure to component development and supplier manufacturing processes. Experience working with automotive quality systems and production launch activities.
