The position is responsible for project delivery, resource development, business development, and leading strategic projects and innovation initiatives.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Key Performance Objectives</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Project Delivery: </strong>A Senior Solution Architect is expected to take on implementation projects of increasing complexity and will be responsible for providing strategic guidance, developing roadmaps, and ensuring the successful implementation of software solutions to address our clients' unique challenges.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as the Solution Architect on large and complex strategic or transformational programs for clients in the energy and utilities industries.</li>\n <li>Responsible for the quality assurance/quality control of projects outside regular assignments to ensure alignment with company standards and client expectations.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Bring best practice expertise during blueprinting & business process design phases for digital transformation projects.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Resource Development: </strong>A Senior Solution Architect is expected to support business critical talent development initiatives to proactively build a highly skilled and adaptable talent pipeline with a comprehensive succession plan to foster growth and mitigate risk within the department.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Guide and mentor aspiring Leads and Solution Architects, preparing them for design sessions, coaching on approach, debriefing on results, and connecting key deliverables to strategic value drivers and customer outcomes. </li>\n <li>Lead expertise pipeline initiative, leveraging the Skills Matrix and resource specific Individual Development Plans to build robust succession plans and mitigate risk by ensuring adequate solution coverage.</li>\n <li>Lead curated knowledge transfer and training program series to enhance team skills and capabilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Act as a trusted advisor to customers within the energy and utilities domains. preferably in a software consulting or IT type organization.</li>\n <li>10+ years’ experience in utilities and energy industries and/or utility and fixed asset accounting. </li>\n <li>Experience in all phases of the implementation process. </li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Experience in other phases of the customer lifecycle (Sales, R&D, Product, Customer Operations, Customer Success) preferred</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Ability to establish oneself as a trusted advisor to client, project team and PowerPlan, Inc. colleagues.</li>\n <li>History of increasing responsibility or upward progression</li>\n <li>Experience leading project teams or direct reports.</li>\n <li>Able to track multiple independent work items simultaneously.</li>\n <li>High level of collaboration skills, especially with co-workers or subject matter experts not in the same location.</li>\n <li>Highly motivated self-starter.</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent, effective communication skills, including: verbal, written, listening and presentation skills</li>\n <li>Ability to engage and successfully interact with the client and project team at all levels.</li>\n <li>Creating and delivering presentations for industry conferences.</li>\n <li>Ability to document technical and functional requirements by partnering with business stakeholders and project team members.</li>\n <li>Ability to separate the technology ask from the business need.</li>\n <li>Consulting and client/project team relationship-building skills.</li>\n <li>Experience utilizing a robust implementation methodology.</li>\n <li>Willingness to master new processes and standards rapidly and evolve current approaches to accommodate requirements without delay or loss of quality.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Industry experience within oil and gas, mining, transportation, natural resources, utilities, energy markets or telecom.</li>\n <li>Experience with implementing key Senior Solution applications, including ERP, EAM and CRM</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of financial accounting processes (Planning, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, Close, Budget, Tax, Physical Asset Management, Regulatory) for ERP implementations</li>\n <li>Management information systems background.</li>\n <li>Strong technical skills especially with Oracle SQL</li>\n <li>Strong technical skills Should possess 3+ years expertise in cloud technology, cloud deployments, and SaaS deployments.</li>\n <li>Preferred experience with PowerBuilder</li>\n <li>Preferred experience using AI tools to enhance professional services deployments</li>\n <li>Ability to design, develop, maintain, and implement effective application software on multiple technical platforms using one or more families of languages: Java SE, JavaScript, SQL, web services (REST, XML, etc.).</li>\n <li>Ability to translate complex technical requirements into common language.</li>\n <li>Understanding of system and network architecture, system platforms, system access, data models, database design, complex SQL queries, and network protocols.</li>\n <li>Experience with some of the advanced functions of Excel, including functions, macros, and pivot tables.</li>\n <li>Process orientation, and ability to analyze and design/build complex processes.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, HP ALM).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PowerPlan is an EOE</strong></p>\n<p>Applicant and Candidate Privacy Notice</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Please note that this is a hybrid role that involves a combination of onsite work from our corporate office as well as work from home.
