If taking the lead in creating a more sustainable future sounds like the future you want, we can make it happen.</p><p><strong>The Position&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Unity College is seeking enthusiastic individuals to teach Animal Health and Behavior courses for our online undergraduate degree programs. Courses are online and run for five weeks in eight different terms.&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>We are particularly interested in hiring adjunct faculty to develop and teach courses in Animal Health and Behavior. Examples of courses to be instructed are Animal Training and Care, Animal Nutrition, Animal Comparative Anatomy and Physiology, and Designing Captive Animal Environments.</li><li>Courses are taught asynchronously with a maximum of 20 students per course. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br><strong>Qualifications</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>The ideal candidate will possess a <strong>terminal degree (e.g. PhD, DVM)</strong> in the discipline or a <strong>master&rsquo;s degree</strong> with ample experience in the profession in addition to the following:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Prior training or experience in the field of animal health and/or behavior (i.e., research or work with animals in zoos, aquariums, rehabilitation facilities, nature centers, shelters, sanctuaries, or veterinary practice) is highly desirable.</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Experience with online teaching and previous use of Canvas is also highly desirable.</li><li>Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).&nbsp;</li><li>Must have strong organizational and time management skills. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately. &nbsp;</li><li>Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the college.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>The Location</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Unity College&rsquo;s distance education curriculum is 100% online.
