Our passion is building.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Driving continuous improvement by staying updated on industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to cost management</li>\n <li>Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of project execution</li>\n <li>Generating reports and templates for Operations use on projects and/or at the Director level</li>\n <li>Support the development of proof-of-concepts for new reporting tools</li>\n <li>Developing feedback loop system for Operations to request data/reporting</li>\n <li>Monitoring financial controls process compliance across projects</li>\n <li>Assisting in the integration of company systems to track, monitor, and control financial data</li>\n <li>Conduct meetings with project teams to review processes, project financial status, identify areas of improvement, and upskill our workforce</li>\n <li>Perform regular project reviews and monitor projects against key performance indicators (KPIs)</li>\n <li>Assist with the preparation and maintenance of detailed job cost forecasts and revenue projections</li>\n <li>Supporting monthly cost reporting cycles in accordance with company deadlines</li>\n <li>Assisting Operations in analyzing budget variances and forecast adjustments</li>\n <li>Identifying financial risks, exposure, and contingency usage</li>\n <li>Ensuring proper cost coding and adherence to company standards</li>\n <li>Reviewing project startup budget setup and financial closeout</li>\n <li>Training project teams on company standards, working with leadership to improve and refine standards</li>\n <li>Identifying inconsistencies in project financials and work to resolve</li>\n <li>Developing and delivering financial training and resources for operations</li>\n <li>Participating in project financial review meetings</li>\n <li>Assisting with portfolio-level roll-up reporting as needed</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field</li>\n <li>2+ years of proven experience in cost management, project engineering, project controls, or similar role within the construction industry</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of construction budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Procore and project financial tools</li>\n <li>Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li>\n <li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse project teams</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The Cost Controls Engineer’s work is primarily performed indoors out of a main office or field office at the construction site; occasionally outdoors in various weather conditions with some exposure to health or safety hazards, including noise level may range from moderate to loud</li>\n <li>Position will require travel, and potentially being at a field office full time</li>\n <li>Light physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 20 pounds and some standing, walking, sitting, talking and/or hearing</li>\n <li>Environment will be demanding and fast paced</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Brinkmann Constructors, our passion for people means investing in their financial, mental, and physical well-being.
