The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for the daily installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of manufacturing systems. This is a hands-on position requiring knowledge of mechanical systems combined with strong troubleshooting equipment ability. They maintain a safety program aligned to OSHA and Company guidelines ensuring that systems, controls, documentation and attitudes are consistent with a \"Safety First\" culture. </p>\n<p>This role is located in <strong>Warwick, RI</strong> and will be fully on-site. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Starting Pay</strong><strong>:</strong> <strong>$30/hr</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Schedule: </strong><strong>1st Shift</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Maintenance Mechanic </strong><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair on a wide variety of manufacturing systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment, using diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer specifications, hand and power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments to ensure safe and efficient operation.</li>\n <li>Follow company guidelines to ensure that all daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspections are complete in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Completes scheduled checks reporting and correcting any malfunctions and unsafe conditions.</li>\n <li>Provides feedback to supervisors to improve routine procedures, part availability and job preparation. </li>\n <li>Demonstrates exemplary housekeeping and care of machinery and work areas. </li>\n <li>Provides assistance in the plant involving other types of general maintenance work when needed. </li>\n <li>Completes repairs in a safe and timely manner, ensuring all special PPE is utilized according to company rules and policies, following job-related SOP's and JHA's.</li>\n <li>Provides training and feedback to the operators and production supervisors. </li>\n <li>Inspects work to assure proper installation, maintenance, and repair of building and equipment.</li>\n <li>Requisitions supplies, materials, tools, machine parts, and other necessary equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1 year of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent include technical training. </li>\n <li>Experience and knowledge around the functions and designs of bearings, motors, gearboxes.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated safety knowledge and positive safety behaviors.</li>\n <li>Pro-Active and Predictive Maintenance knowledge or training desired but not required. </li>\n <li>Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance and ability to support investigations and develop mitigation plans to address findings. </li>\n <li>Ability to navigate notifications, confirmations, work orders, and materials.</li>\n <li> Ability to create and maintain good working relationships with all co-workers.</li>\n <li>Good judgment in recognizing scope of responsibilities.</li>\n <li>Ability to read, write and communicate information effectively and accurately.</li>\n <li>Good problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and be able to do highly accurate work that requires concentration and physical effort. </li>\n <li>Ability to concentrate in a busy work environment.</li>\n <li>Quality-focused and detail-oriented.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Joining Wieland’s team gives you…</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Benefits</strong> - Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more!</li>\n <li><strong>Retirement Savings</strong> - 401(k) contribution + match.</li>\n <li><strong>Work/Life Balance</strong> - Paid Vacation & Holidays.</li>\n <li><strong>Growth Opportunities</strong> - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
