CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Roadway Project Manager to join our Highway & Rail Team in Columbus, OH or Cleveland, OH, where you will help shape the future of transportation networks across the region. This is your opportunity to guide high‑visibility projects, mentor emerging engineers, and advance technical excellence that strengthens the communities we serve. What You'll Do: Lead proposal development and create clear scopes, schedules, and budgets in coordination with transportation technical teams Serve as the primary client partner, addressing needs proactively and ensuring strong communication throughout each project Develop project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and direct task coordination across multidisciplinary project teams Manage project schedules, deliverables, approvals, and quality controls to keep work on track and aligned with contract requirements Oversee project financials—including budgets, forecasts, revenue, and cash flow—maintaining strong financial performance Direct contract administration, subcontractor coordination, and critical project documentation Lead regular project meetings and provide timely progress updates to clients and internal stakeholders Support marketing efforts, help identify new opportunities, and contribute to the growth of CHA’s Highway & Rail portfolio What You Bring: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required; minimum of 6 years of project management experience required Professional Engineer (PE) license required Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills with the ability to adapt style for various audiences Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred Proven ability to manage client relationships and interpret client contract requirements Demonstrated experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents required Experience managing project accounting processes—including forecasting, budgeting, revenue, and cash flow—required Ability to work in a team environment, solve problems independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously Why You'll Love It Here: Lead innovative highway and rail projects that make a visible, lasting impact on mobility, safety, and sustainability Work alongside passionate engineers, planners, and technical specialists who drive excellence in every phase of delivery Enjoy a collaborative, growth‑focused culture where your ideas, expertise, and professional development are valued Curious about the impactful work our Highway & Rail team is doing?
