Description
This is an open pool posting and applicants will be contacted only if a suitable position becomes available. Pool may be used to fill vacancies for the Fall 2025 - Summer 2026. This pool expires 05/31/2026. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2026, must reapply at that time. Position Summary: The UNC School of Nursing invites applications for part-time clinical faculty positions to teach in our graduate Emergency Nurse Practitioner program. Part-time, nurse practitioner clinical faculty primarily teach on-campus in clinical skills laboratories/simulations and conduct site visits for specialty rotations. Depending on interest and expertise, opportunities for classroom teaching may be available. These positions are filled semester by semester based on the needs of the program. The positions are highly flexible, depending on the interest and experience of the applicant. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Nursing or other professional clinical degree (MD, DO, PA, etc.) Two years clinical experience Unencumbered CO RN/APRN or other professional clinical CO license Completion of Urine Drug Screening Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral Degree in Nursing For questions about the application process or position, contact the School of Nursing Director – Melissa Henry at: [email protected]. About the Department: The School of Nursing offers degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our undergraduate programs include a traditional and second bachelor’s BSN program and a fully online RN-BSN completion program. At the graduate level, we offer a fully online master’s degree in leadership, quality and safety and advanced practice clinical programs including a doctorate in nursing practice (FNP and post-Master’s APRN options). We also offer post-master’s certificates in nursing education, family nurse practitioner, and emergency nurse practitioner. Our unique PhD in nursing education rounds out our portfolio of programs with a focus on the science of nursing and teaching practices. School of nursing faculty members are active in teaching, service, and research in the spirit of the student-centered Teacher/Scholar Model, prioritizing a student-centered, evidence-based approach to innovative teaching and learning in all programs. The faculty is committed to strong collaborations with campus and community-based partners to enrich the learning opportunities for all students and meet the healthcare needs of the region.
