Paid time off is earned according to the local policy and increases with the length of employment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Click HERE to discover how we empower team members to grow, thrive, and advance in their careers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>WE LOVE OUR WORK.</h2>\n<p>Position is open until filled</p>\n<p><strong>Ameristar Casino Resort Spa offers Team Members:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Now hiring candidates 18 or older for all positions, including gaming licensed positions (Must be 21 or older for Beverage Server, Barback, Bartender)</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Health Benefits Insurance package effective Day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Short-Term Disability for FT team members</li>\n <li>$700 Referral Bonus Program ($350 at 90 days $350 at 6 months) – for Team Members who refer new applicants</li>\n <li>Discounted Casino bus tickets  </li>\n <li>Discounted RTD EcoPass</li>\n <li>Hot meal served by the Leadership Team once a month</li>\n <li>20% discount for Starbucks, Ara Spa, and all food outlets </li>\n <li>100% Colorado Gaming License reimbursement after 90 days of employment </li>\n <li>Hotel discounts available at all 43 PENN properties, plus discounts on goods and services</li>\n <li>Education reimbursement program and Annual Scholarship Program </li>\n <li>Career development opportunities </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Responsibilities include: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Greets and welcomes each guest seated in assigned station. </li>\n <li>Must be familiar with menu, daily specials, and preparation of foods and prices. </li>\n <li>Maintains current and accurate information regarding menu (i.e., preparation techniques, seasonings, ingredients, and plate presentation). </li>\n <li>Takes food and beverage orders, delivers prepared food promptly, and checks with table periodically to ensure guest satisfaction. </li>\n <li>Suggest items to guests based on expressed guest preferences. </li>\n <li>Use suggestive selling (i.e., cocktails, appetizers, desserts, etc.).</li>\n <li>Correctly enter food and beverage orders into the POS system to ensure accurate preparation of product. </li>\n <li>Resolve service issues according to established guidelines. </li>\n <li>Itemizes, totals, and presents check for payment to correct customers. </li>\n <li>Assists busperson, as necessary, in bussing, cleaning, and setting tables. </li>\n <li>Wipes counter areas, sinks, and floors as required to maintain a clean and safe workstation. </li>\n <li>Maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards.</li>\n <li>Deep cleans restaurant equipment (tables, chairs, booths, soda and juice dispensers, coffee machines) as scheduled, or required; operates and maintains equipment as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures. </li>\n <li>Completes assigned side work as directed. </li>\n <li>Knows and promotes current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>BRING US YOUR BEST.</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Two (2) years’ experience as a server in a dining establishment.</li>\n <li>Food service experience</li>\n <li>An outgoing personality with interest in guest hospitality.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of upselling techniques.</li>\n <li>Exceptional work habits.</li>\n <li>Knowledgeable of menu to include alcoholic beverages that are available.</li>\n <li>Strong customer service skills</li>\n <li>Ability to sustain a high level of professionalism.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with guest issues.</li>\n <li>Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with guests at all levels.</li>\n <li>Highly organized and detail oriented.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>STAY IN THE GAME.
