Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, as well as engineering applications and automated control systems.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>The Automation Estimator will be responsible for the accurate pricing of controls materials, systems, and services for a complete and functional building automation system. Direct responsibilities will include determine costs, analyze customer requirements, and formulate quotation strategies.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Can determine costs associated with large scale mechanical project without the use of drawing, plans or specifications.</li>\n <li>Understand and have a working knowledge of various codes (Mechanical Code and local municipal codes).</li>\n <li>Understand and have a working knowledge of Title 24 and OSHPD requirements.</li>\n <li>Have a working knowledge of BACnet, LON, and Modbus networks and their architecture.</li>\n <li>Actively gather and disseminate market intelligence for each estimate by talking directly with the buyer, the end user, vendors, and other sources of information.</li>\n <li>When available, interpret customer drawings, specifications, and requirements as the basis of formulating quotation strategies.</li>\n <li>Ability to work with Estimating, Engineering and Sales Departments to analyze customer requirements and develop a winning strategy for every quotation.</li>\n <li>Identify optimum cost/availability of materials acceptable to the customer and prepare material and labor estimates used in the quotation process.</li>\n <li>Learn to effectively utilize all estimating documentation and electronic programs in preparation of the bill of material and labor estimate for all quotations.</li>\n <li>Capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Mechanical Engineering or HVAC experience.</li>\n <li>2 + years’ experience estimating/selling in commercial building automation/HVAC. </li>\n <li>HVAC Take-Off estimating experience a plus.</li>\n <li>Overall broad understanding of all types of Mechanical systems (Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, etc.) and HVAC Controls Systems, including building automation network architecture.</li>\n <li>Capable of communicating effectively with others both verbally and in writing.</li>\n <li>Experience with energy management solutions.</li>\n <li>Proficient in using Microsoft Products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as capable of learning and managing internal proprietary systems.</li>\n <li>Strong technical writing skills, ability to read and interpret drawings and/or construction plans is required for success.</li>\n <li>The ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail and excellent teamwork.</li>\n <li>Must be a self-starter who can effectively prioritize tasks and work independently.</li>\n <li>This position requires strong negotiating and organizational skills, the ability to perform detailed work in a timely manner, follow up through order closure, and management of the order throughout the manufacturing process.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#Mesa #LI-Mesa #LI-HVACjobs #LI-Onsite  </p>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
