You’ll follow established menus, coordinate food preparation, and support a welcoming and healing environment. \n<strong>This PRN position is a great opportunity for students or anyone looking for flexible, as‑needed work.</strong> We are looking for cooks who can fill in when staff members are off, call in, or when additional support is needed. Our size allows us to maintain a close‑knit, family‑oriented atmosphere where you’ll build meaningful relationships and  have more one‑on‑one access to our directors and a genuine sense of belonging within our team.\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<strong>This PRN position is a great opportunity for students or anyone looking for flexible, as‑needed work.</strong> We are looking for cooks who can fill in when staff members are off, call in, or when additional support is needed. \n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<strong>The hourly pay range for this position is $15.58–$21.82. If you work on the hoilday you will recieve time and a half.   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Access to continuing education credits at no cost to you</li>\n <li>Paid training and professional development</li>\n</ul> \n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p>\n<p>· Cook and prepare food according to approved menus.</p>\n<p>· Direct activities of workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.</p>\n<p>· Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.</p>\n<p>· Take inventory of supplies and equipment.</p>\n<p>· Work with Food Service leadership or Dietitian to ensure menus are varied, nutritionally balanced and appetizing.</p>\n<p>· Perform and coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities.</p>\n<p>· Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, cost parameters, and appropriate regulatory requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>OTHER FUNCTIONS:</p>\n<p>· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</p>\n<p>· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</p>\n<p>· Additional education or training in the culinary field preferred.</p>\n<p>· Two or more years’ experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:</p>\n<p>· ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state, facility.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties from particular jobs when circumstances (e.g. emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technological developments) dictate.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are committed to providing equal  employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>BBHH</p>",
