We do offer per diem for those that qualify.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p>\n<p>The Site Construction Manager will work as a construction subject matter expert, responsible for supervising a team of discipline specific construction managers. Serve as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment of project objectives and requirements. Focused on managing and guiding the team to safely complete the scope of work on schedule for our clients. We are seeking a proven leader with large scale power plant experience, who can not only ensure the delivery of essential core services through a construction lens but do so with the highest level of alignment with our core values.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>To be the Construction subject matter expert and interface with all lead managers/team leads, while leveraging that knowledge for all projects within our company, as well as serve S&L across other business units that require construction experience.</li>\n <li>Manage client expectations and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and timely updates.</li>\n <li>Provide oversight to the project’s overall cost and schedule.</li>\n <li>Oversee and manage change orders, ensuring scope changes are documented, approved, and incorporated into project plans.</li>\n <li>Assess and mitigate the impact of scope changes on cost and schedule.</li>\n <li>Develop project-specific construction management and/or commissioning management work plans.</li>\n <li>Perform Home office or remote pre-construction planning work before field mobilization.</li>\n <li>Lead and manage the site construction management and commissioning staff.</li>\n <li>Monitor overall construction and commissioning progress, cost, quality, scope, and safety.</li>\n <li>Conduct thorough risk assessments at all stages of the project and develop contingency plans to mitigate construction and commissioning risks.</li>\n <li>Report on construction progress and cost to the Project Director and/or Client.</li>\n <li>Lead and attend construction project performance review meetings.</li>\n <li>Plan construction process by developing schedules, phasing, and lookaheads.</li>\n <li>Keep track of project progress and maintain schedules.</li>\n <li>Keep all documentation up to date for internal and external project members.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with the internal construction team, engineers, subcontractors, etc. to determine project needs.</li>\n <li>Review and oversee contractual agreements with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure terms and deliverables are met.</li>\n <li>Handle disputes or claims arising from contract performance.</li>\n <li>Adhere to estimated costs and ensure the project is on budget (and is profitable).</li>\n <li>Supervise field staff and provide constructive feedback.</li>\n <li>Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.</li>\n <li>Oversee project close-out activities, including final inspections, punch list resolution, and documentation handover.</li>\n <li>Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future project execution.</li>\n <li>Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly through compliance S&L standards.</li>\n <li>Ensure the installed progress and work product are in line with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.  Highlight any variances or changes in the work placement.</li>\n <li>Track work progress and highlight key activity development in daily reports. </li>\n <li>Support our partners and project stakeholders at each project are communicating early and often when problems arise and be able to find creative solutions to project challenges.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential skills and experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>20+ years of construction industry experience; with focus on full construction experience. </li>\n <li>Must have experience with advanced class combined cycle projects, environmental retrofit projects and new generation combined heat and power projects is preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with EPC and GC contract models.</li>\n <li>15+ years in progressive leadership roles, supervising construction teams, managing clients, subcontractors, and vendors.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to communicate intentionally and clearly across multiple stakeholders, vendors, teammates, and business partners.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with industry regulations, industry codes & standards, and best practices related to power plant electrical operations, maintenance, and safety.</li>\n <li>Determination of staff positions and size; interviewing and selection of personnel experience.</li>\n <li>Construction labor knowledge and labor planning experience.</li>\n <li>Experience in establishing and effectively using project controls tools to manage a large construction project.</li>\n <li>Understanding of a process approach to accomplishing construction management and start-up testing work.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated client relationship-building experience.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of quality, safety, and health guidelines for sizeable industrial construction job sites.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.</li>\n <li>Organizational and time-management skills.</li>\n <li>OSHA 10 or 30.</li>\n <li>Must be able to travel.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Award-Winning Benefits</h2>\n<p>At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees.
