    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Job Summary:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Van Driver plays a vital role in ensuring safe, reliable, and timely transportation of youth to and from Club sites, schools, and authorized activities. This position is responsible for the safety and well-being of all passengers, maintaining accurate transportation logs, and operating vehicles in compliance with organizational policies and state/federal regulations. The Van Driver also supports program operations by assisting with arrival and departure transitions, monitoring vehicle conditions, and upholding safety standards at all times. This is a grant-funded position, and continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funding.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Mission Impact</strong></p><ul><li>Safely transport youth between homes, schools, Club sites, and special events.</li><li>Maintain accurate daily logs of routes, mileage, passenger counts, and pick-up/drop-off times.</li><li>Support youth participation in Club programs by providing consistent, dependable transportation.</li><li>Foster a positive Club experience by creating a safe and welcoming environment during transit.</li></ul><p><strong>People Power</strong></p><ul><li>Build positive, respectful relationships with youth, families, and staff.</li><li>Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, Club staff, and schools regarding schedules and transportation needs.</li><li>Assist staff with arrival and dismissal procedures, ensuring smooth transitions for youth.</li><li>Serve as a role model for youth by demonstrating professionalism, patience, and respect.</li></ul><p><strong>Safety</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.</li><li>Enforce passenger safety rules, including proper use of seat belts and orderly behavior.</li><li>Follow all organizational safety protocols, traffic regulations, and emergency procedures.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial Sustainability</strong></p><ul><li>Track mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance needs for reporting and cost management.</li><li>Assist in scheduling routine maintenance and repairs to extend vehicle life and reduce expenses, including annual DCF251 inspection.</li><li>Report damages or repair needs promptly to minimize costs and downtime.</li></ul><p><strong>Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain valid driver&rsquo;s license and required endorsements.</li><li>Follow all state and federal transportation regulations, including passenger safety laws and DCF251 requirements.</li><li>Ensure compliance with organizational transportation and safety policies.</li><li>Report accidents, incidents, or vehicle concerns promptly to supervisors.</li><li>Complete required incident and transportation-related reports in a timely manner.</li></ul><p>Other duties as assigned</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Education Requirements:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Valid Wisconsin Driver&rsquo;s License with good driving record</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Competencies Measured:</strong></p><p>A successful employee in this role demonstrates knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors indicative of the following competencies.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Functional:&nbsp;</strong></p><ol><li>Stakeholder Engagement</li><li>Financial Management</li><li>Program Implementation &amp; Compliance</li><li>Safety &amp; Risk Management</li><li>Data-Driven Decision Making</li><li>Member Recruitment &amp; Engagement</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
