In each of our regions, we are the best in radiology, offering all radiology services!</p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>The X-ray Tech will take quality x-rays of patients&rsquo; bones, soft tissues, or organs as instructed. The X-ray Tech may be required to work at other Southtowns locations as needed.&nbsp;</p><p><em>Our ideal teammate:</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Is a self-directed learner who is willing to apply direct feedback and continuously and humbly self-assess in order to grow personally and professionally.&nbsp;</li><li>Will work under general guidance with some expectation of autonomy.</li><li>Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.</li><li>Has the ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.</li><li>Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Functions of an X-ray Tech</strong></p><ul><li>Verify patients&#39; identity and review physicians&rsquo; orders before beginning x-ray procedures.</li><li>Use x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients&#39; bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians&rsquo; written orders.</li><li>Explain x-ray procedures to patients and answer their questions.</li><li>Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.</li><li>Limit patients&#39; exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed.</li><li>Ensure that the x-rays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures.</li><li>Work closely with the resident Radiologist to determine whether further tests are required.</li><li>Ensure that the x-ray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order.</li><li>Promptly notify management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.</li><li>Maintain an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures.</li></ul><p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>ARRT Certification</li><li>Current BLS</li><li>Appropriate state licensure</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Immediately accrue PTO as you work!
