Additionally, they will work closely with hospital management and administration, to provide leadership and mentorship to department staff. An offer of employment may be outside of the posted range based on those factors.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Assist in Daily Operations:</strong> Support the Food Service Manager in the day-to-day operations of the food service department, including meal preparation, serving, and sanitation.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Staff Supervision:</strong> Supervise and train food service staff, including cooks, servers, and kitchen aides. Schedule shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Quality Control:</strong> Monitor and ensure the quality and presentation of food served, ensuring it meets hospital standards and dietary requirements. Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Inventory Management:</strong> Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies. Track and control food costs to adhere to budgetary constraints.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Patient and Staff Interaction:</strong> Address and resolve any food-related concerns or complaints from patients, staff, or visitors.
