The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a key role in collaborating with managers at all levels, affiliate banks, and Data Warehouse system teams to prioritize data and information requirements for management reports. This position is responsible for designing, creating, and generating BI content that facilitate effective business decisions, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data used for management purposes. The Business Intelligence Analyst is involved in modeling data sources and flows, developing operational frameworks for management reporting policies and security, and monitoring system tools and production systems. As a subject matter expert in affiliate banks’ lending and deposit data, the analyst will recommend enhancements to reports and systems, lead projects of moderate complexity, and provide coaching to junior staff. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the development of organizational goals and objectives, with frequent interaction across internal and external stakeholders, including senior management. Responsibilities: Collaborate with managers at all levels, end users, affiliate banks, and Data Warehouse system teams to develop and build BI content. Design, create, and generate business insights for managers to make effective business decisions. Review and analyze the source and integrity of data used for management decisions. Model data sources and flows; define and implement operational frameworks for reporting policies and security. Recommend and implement enhancements to reports and support systems. Understand and analyze affiliate banks’ lending and deposit data and processes. Develop resolutions to complex problems using creativity and sound judgment. Lead projects of moderate complexity and provide coaching to junior staff. Represent the organization on principal projects and interact with senior management across organizational lines. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or Accounting. 4+ years of experience with data warehouse systems and databases, data modeling and SQL query language and BI reporting tools. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications. Extensive experience developing BI content with Microsoft Power BI and SAP Business Objects reporting software. Broad knowledge of cloud data storage platforms, relational databases, report writing, and data warehouse performance tuning. Experience using artificial intelligence to automate all or parts of the BI development lifecycle. Update to date with current industry standards and trends for BI development. Strong analytical skills with the ability to audit information for accuracy and translate business requirements into BI solutions. Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to make sound decisions and resolve problems independently. An understanding of the fundamental principles of banking. Experience leading projects and coaching junior staff. Location: This position is fully in office (5 days a week) at the Zions Technology Center - 7860 South Bingham Junction Blvd, Midvale, UT 84047 The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus is the company’s primary technology and operations center.
