If hired, the shop supervisor will add your name to a list and will reach out when there is work available.\n</div>\n<div>\n &nbsp;\n</div>\n<div>\n <strong>Carpenter Responsibilities:</strong>\n</div>\n<div>\n <ul>\n  <li>Construct scenery using industry techniques and materials.</li>\n  <li>Build and install scenic elements from construction drawings or designer drawings as directed.</li>\n  <li>Build and install scenic elements using safe and efficient techniques.</li>\n  <li>Participate in strike of scenic elements.</li>\n  <li>Implement basic safe rigging techniques for theater venues.</li>\n  <li>Work weekends and evenings as needed</li>\n  <li>Ability to work independently</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div>\n <strong>Stage Operations Responsibilities:</strong>\n</div>\n<div>\n <ul>\n  <li>Setup and install items for an array of programing, including but not limited to: dance floors, orchestra layouts, show decks, acoustic shells, and soft goods.</li>\n  <li>Under the guidance of the Stage Operations team, act as run crew for performances and events throughout the School.</li>\n  <li>Theater Maintenance</li>\n  <li>Venue and Operational Improvement Projects</li>\n  <li>Scenery Strikes/Load-ins</li>\n  <li>Any other duties deemed necessary for the efficient and professional execution of Juilliard programing.</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div>\n <strong>Qualifications and Skills:</strong>\n</div>\n<div>\n &nbsp;\n</div>\n<div>\n <strong>Required:</strong>\n</div>\n<div>\n <ul>\n  <li>Previous experience as a stagehand or equivalent in a performance/theatrical setting.</li>\n  <li>Working knowledge of theatrical knots (e.g. clove hitch, bowline, trucker’s hitch, etc.) and practices.</li>\n  <li>Ability to keep scheduled commitments.</li>\n  <li>Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and timelines.</li>\n  <li>Expected to work within a theatrical team and<strong> </strong>maintain a professional demeanor at all times.</li>\n  <li>Ability to adhere to rigging/flying safety protocols.</li>\n  <li>Must follow all health and safety guidelines deemed necessary by New York State, New York City, and The Juilliard School.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Must be able to stand, kneel, climb, and lift a reasonable amount within the standard expectations of the position.</li>\n  <li>Understanding of the mission of The Juilliard School as well as the School’s commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.</li>\n  <li>Willingness to participate in Juilliard’s inclusive policies and help promote a safe space.</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div>\n &nbsp;\n</div>\n<div>\n <strong>Preferred:</strong>\n</div>\n<ul>\n <li>Automation/Rigging knowledge a plus</li>\n <li>Carpentry power tool knowledge a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<div>\n <strong>Salary Range:</strong>\n</div>\n<p>Starting at $30.25 per hour</p>",
