Responsibilities
What you’ll be able to do:
BME Manufacturing Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Stanton, Tennessee). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite. Represent Battery Manufacturing Engineering (BME) at program meetings and act as Ford BME designated person to direct contractors and support personnel to deliver program objectives. Track new program equipment (vendor runoff through in-plant capability). Maintain Launch Quality Operating System (LQOS) charts. Facilitate and coordinate weekly purchase order, advance purchasing notification, change request meeting agendas and reports. Actively participate in the meetings led by process engineers and Building & Facilities team to discuss layout until reaching layout freeze. Update program reporting systems (OPIC, 15 panel, 10 Panel, Integrator). Develop and maintain program master schedules. Analyze schedules identifying shortfalls, program content and timing changes. Facilitate resolution of timing issues and issue escalation processes. Coordinate recovery actions for timing scenarios. Lead and assist in updating and publishing various program review decks and web databases. Receive, evaluate and write work order requests and track status. Receive, evaluate and process WERS (Worldwide Engineering Release System) notifications, route to appropriate WERS contacts and track status. Program change management coordinator for each program and liaison with the BME coordinator. Develop and coordinate updates to program indicated in cost-tracking documents. Maintain program finances and coordinate initial program funding with the financial analyst, serving as main contact. Drive documentation updates and maintain Program SharePoint. Provide process confirmation for the application of the BME Quality Operating System (QOS). Assist with the procurement of MTO parts and spare parts process as required. Coordinate internal and external quality audit process. Liaise with Mfg. Quality Office to coordinate Launch Readiness Coaching Assessment events. Domestic Travel Required up to 25%.
Qualifications
You'll have...
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Managing enterprise project portfolio using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to track critical path progress and identify schedule risks or delays. 2. Providing civil or manufacturing engineering support as related to structural steel installation, civil works, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, facilities or utilities hook up installation. 3. Utilizing BIM360, Autodesk, and Revit to manage engineering change processes and perform clash identification for cost-efficient issue resolution. 4. Applying engineering analysis to define issues and implement corrective actions, using project planning and cost analysis tools, Microsoft Project and Primavera, workspace layout and modeling using AutoCAD and Revit, and data analysis, reporting and quality improvement using Six Sigma methodologies, DMAIC, PFMEA, or FMEA. 5. Managing project cost accounting using Procore or Vista and Viewpoint TEAMS to track field action requests and maintain project budgets.

Track new program equipment (vendor runoff through in-plant capability). Maintain Launch Quality Operating System (LQOS) charts. Facilitate and coordinate weekly purchase order, advance purchasing notification, change request meeting agendas and reports. Actively participate in the meetings led by process engineers and Building & Facilities team to discuss layout until reaching layout freeze. Update program reporting systems (OPIC, 15 panel, 10 Panel, Integrator). Develop and maintain program master schedules. Analyze schedules identifying shortfalls, program content and timing changes. Facilitate resolution of timing issues and issue escalation processes. Coordinate recovery actions for timing scenarios. Lead and assist in updating and publishing various program review decks and web databases. Receive, evaluate and write work order requests and track status. Receive, evaluate and process WERS (Worldwide Engineering Release System) notifications, route to appropriate WERS contacts and track status. Program change management coordinator for each program and liaison with the BME coordinator. Develop and coordinate updates to program indicated in cost-tracking documents. Maintain program finances and coordinate initial program funding with the financial analyst, serving as main contact. Drive documentation updates and maintain Program SharePoint. Provide process confirmation for the application of the BME Quality Operating System (QOS). Assist with the procurement of MTO parts and spare parts process as required. Coordinate internal and external quality audit process. Liaise with Mfg. Quality Office to coordinate Launch Readiness Coaching Assessment events. Domestic Travel Required up to 25%.</p>",
