Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.</p><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left: 0px;\">The <strong>Geotechnical Engineering Department Manager</strong> is responsible for the overall management of a profit center including: planning growth, profitability, cost control, employee development, quality control and client relations within Geotechnical Department.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul><li>Direct and execute one or all of the following geotechnical project assignments but not limited to field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation and report technical review</li><li>Provide quality control review of proposals and reports and direct operations in a manner to consistently meet commitments to the clients</li><li>Actively participate in business development and marketing efforts while establishing and maintaining client relationships related to technical aspects of our client assignments</li><li>Responsible for the mentoring and training of junior professional staff professionals</li><li>Actively participate in relationship building with professional and technical organizations</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from accredited engineering / ABET school required</li><li>5+ years' of leadership, management, and/or engineering project management experience is required</li><li>Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) Registration is required</li><li>Must be customer focused and quality driven</li><li>Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are required</li><li>The ability to read and understand work plans is required</li><li>Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred</li><li>ICC, NICET and/or ACI Certifications are a plus</li><li>P&amp;L, and basic accounting experience is preferred</li><li>Sales, marketing, and client management experience preferred</li><li>Prior personnel management, hiring and training experience preferred</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Intertek: Total Quality.
