The primary responsibility of the driver is to deliver product in a safe and efficient manner.</p>\n<p>_____________________________________________________________________________</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.</li>\n <li>Maintain and clean assigned truck and perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections. Report mechanical problems to maintenance division.</li>\n <li>Water truck driver: fill rollers, water grade accurately and follow watering schedules.</li>\n <li>End dump driver: back truck and pup and dump into the asphalt lay-down.</li>\n <li>Belly dump driver: dump asphalt and rock products accurately, access off road construction sites, and safely maneuver truck where needed.</li>\n <li>Gravel & asphalt delivery driver: manage time schedule and customer order, load truck with the correct product and weight, obtain ticket and deliver correct product and quantity to customer.</li>\n <li>Pick up check or cash on cash on delivery (COD) orders and deliver to dispatch with billing tickets.</li>\n <li>Obtain ticket signed by customer and leave customer a copy.</li>\n <li>Maintain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and department of transportation (DOT) medical card.</li>\n <li>Maintain insurable driving record.</li>\n <li>Obey all traffic laws and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>_____________________________________________________________________________</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Education and/or Experience</u></strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.</li>\n <li>Must hold a current Commercial Driver License and Medical Card.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>_____________________________________________________________________________</p>\n<p><strong><u> </u></strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Demands:</u> </strong>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Sitting</strong>: 80% of time</li>\n <li><strong>Standing: </strong>20% of time</li>\n <li><strong>Driving: </strong>80% of time</li>\n <li><strong>Weight Lifted: </strong>Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.  May occasionally lift items above their head.<strong> </strong></li>\n <li><strong>Physical Movement</strong>: May frequently be required to walk over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, grab and hold objects. Required to climb a ladder on the truck several times a day.</li>\n <li><strong>Speaking / Listening</strong>: Needs to be able to communicate well with customers, dispatch, supervision, receive and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements.</li>\n <li><strong>Working Conditions: </strong>90% of time will be spent working outside in the elements.
