Unit Counselors live and work closely with campers, helping create a fun, supportive, and inclusive community while enjoying life outdoors.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></h3><p>· Live in a unit with campers and serve as a leader for an assigned group alongside the Unit Leader</p><p>· Support campers with daily routines while following a structured yet flexible schedule</p><p>· Lead and assist with engaging activities in collaboration with camp staff</p><p>· Maintain program and activity equipment</p><p>· Contribute to the care and upkeep of camp facilities and shared spaces</p><p>· Participate fully in camp life, including meetings, activities, kapers, and special events</p><p>· Practice risk assessment and ensure camper safety at all times</p><p>· Complete required paperwork accurately and on time</p><p>· Support camper-led decision-making, accountability, and positive behavior management</p><p>· Promote Girl Scout values, including diversity, equity, and inclusion</p><p>· Adapt to changing situations with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment</p><p>· Completes additional responsibilities as needed to support program operations.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>General Qualifications for All Camp Staff</strong></p><p>· Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with change</p><p>· Able to work effectively with diverse groups of campers and adults</p><p>· Team-oriented, willing to take initiative, and follow direction as needed</p><p>· Enthusiastic about the outdoors and living in a rustic setting</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Time Commitment</strong></h3><p>· Seasonal, <strong>live-on-site</strong> position</p><p>· Includes paid staff training&nbsp;</p><p>· Two hours of scheduled time off daily and one day off per week (typically Saturday)</p>",
