Description

Description Ensure that mechanical designs comply with geometric tolerance standards, guaranteeing functionality, proper assembly, product quality, and optimization of manufacturing costs. Responsibilities Interpret and apply GD&T standards in accordance with ASME Y14.5, ISO 1101, and related norms. Analyze technical drawings and 3D models to validate dimensional and geometric specifications. Define functional tolerances based on design and manufacturing requirements. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve dimensional issues. Perform stack-up analyses (tolerance accumulation studies). Support dimensional validations using CMM and other measuring equipment. Participate in root cause analyses related to dimensional failures. Train technical personnel in print reading and GD&T interpretation. Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field. 2–5 years in drawing interpretation and application of GD&T in a manufacturing environment.
