Overview Mental Health Therapist Position Type: Full-time, on-site Location:  5842 TN - 30 Benton, Tennessee 37307 Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year based on experience Work Schedule: Monday–Friday (40 hour work week) Are you a compassionate and skilled therapist looking to make a lasting impact on adolescents and their families? Join our dedicated team at Embark at Benton , where healing happens in a serene, nature-rich environment and your work truly matters. Embark at Benton is a Short-term Residential Treatment Program nestled in the tranquil mountains of Tennessee, alongside the Hiwassee River. Our program serves male adolescents ages 12–17 who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, school refusal, and other behavioral health issues. Students reside in a family-style lodge designed to foster safety, comfort, and community—because we believe healing happens best in nurturing, homelike environments. Our 55-acre campus offers a therapeutic setting that doubles as an experiential classroom, with activities like hiking, biking, equine therapy, and parkour to support holistic growth. Responsibilities Facilitate Individual, Family, and Group Therapy: Lead therapeutic sessions using trauma-informed, evidence-based modalities that support emotional growth and relational healing. Manage a Personalized Caseload: Provide high-quality, individualized care to a focused caseload of up to 6-8 clients, allowing for deep therapeutic relationships and consistent family engagement. Conduct Assessments & Treatment Planning: Perform biopsychosocial evaluations, risk assessments, and develop dynamic treatment plans tailored to each adolescent’s unique needs and progress. Collaborate in Integrated Care: Partner with a multidisciplinary team—including therapists, medical providers, nurses, and residential staff—to deliver holistic, coordinated care. Engage Families in the Healing Process: Maintain consistent communication with caregivers, offering coaching, support, and involvement in monthly Family Weekend programming to strengthen family systems. Maintain Clinical Excellence: Ensure timely and thorough documentation, uphold treatment standards, and support discharge planning with a focus on continuity of care. Support a Safe, Therapeutic Environment: Monitor student behavior, maintain healthy boundaries, and contribute to a structured, relational setting that promotes emotional safety and growth. Participate in Adventure-Based Programming: Contribute to monthly Adventure Days and experiential activities that foster resilience, confidence, and connection. Participate in Rotating On-Call Support: Serve as on-call therapist once every six weeks, providing guidance and crisis support as needed, including occasional evening availability. Qualifications Required: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field Active or eligible licensure in Tennessee as one of the following: Licensed Mental Health Professionals (Fully Licensed) LPC-MHSP – Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker LMFT – Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Valid driver’s license in good standing Ability to pass a state background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening Preferred: At least one year of experience as a licensed therapist conducting individual, family, and group therapy Experience in a residential or therapeutic setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities Familiarity with adolescent development and culturally competent care Benefits Access to an established Mastery Program that offers professional and financial opportunities for professional growth.
