Description The Coordinator- Living, Learning, and Outreach is responsible for advancing the mission of University Housing through leadership of Living Learning Communities (LLCs), residence hall tour operations, while supporting program marketing and outreach initiatives. This role develops and strengthens collaborative partnerships with campus stakeholders to create meaningful residential experiences that foster student success, belonging, and engagement. In addition to overseeing LLC program operations, the LLCO Coordinator partners with Student Life Communications to support communications outreach and marketing efforts, including contributing content for digital communication, social media, and recruitment outreach. This position also supervises student leadership teams, including LLC Ambassadors and residence hall tour guides, and plays a key role in recruitment events and campus visits, while supporting student engagement and leadership development. Through program oversight, collaborative outreach efforts, and assessment-informed practice, this position contributes to a dynamic residential experience for both current and prospective students. Responsibilities Program Management Lead the development and implementation of Living Learning Communities (LLCs) and residence hall tour programs. Serve as a liaison with academic partners and campus stakeholders, support recruitment and selection processes, and oversee logistics for programs, events, and outreach initiatives. Program Outreach and Recruitment In partnership with Student Life Communications, this position coordinates and supports communication and marketing strategies that promote LLC engagement and participation. Supports the development of departmental digital communication, including website content and social media, and collaborate with University Housing partners to support recruitment and outreach to prospective students and families. Student Leadership Development Recruit, train, and supervise student leaders, including LLC Ambassadors and residence hall tour guides. Facilitate leadership development opportunities and provide guidance for student-led programs and initiatives. Customer Service and Organizational Support Provide leadership in delivering excellent customer service to students, families, and campus partners. Support budget management and administrative operational processes, contribute to departmental initiatives, and participate in an on-call rotation that includes occasional overnight and weekend responsibilities. Qualifications Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Housing, Residence Life, or related student life experience, working closely with students in a university setting. Demonstrated experience working with college students in a residential, leadership development, or student engagement context. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with various student populations and campus partners. Excellent communication skills including excellent writing skills as demonstrated in materials. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment-based visa status. Preferred Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Communications, or Marketing. Experience: Experience with living learning communities, residential academic initiatives, or faculty/professional staff collaboration. Experience with program assessment and data collection. Experience supporting marketing, communications, digital content, or student recruitment initiatives. Experience managing budgets or financial processes. 1 year of professional staff experience in higher education; a master’s degree may substitute for 1 year of professional experience, and 2 years of graduate assistant work counts as 1 year of professional experience.
