    "description_html": "<p>JOB DESCRIPTION</p><p><strong>Position title: </strong>Product Owner</p><p><strong>Reports to: </strong>Product Manager</p><p><strong>FLSA status: </strong>Exempt</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The Product Owner at Your Health Idaho is responsible for designing and ensuring ongoing value and viability for their product area within the Your Health Idaho exchange technology platform. The Product Owner will work across areas of the business to understand business and customer needs, design solutions to accomplish those objectives, and shape product strategy to solve customer and business problems. The product owner works with end-users, business, and technical teams to understand opportunities, risks, and user needs. This role is responsible for taking charge of designing and documenting system specifications, designing prototypes, determining functional requirements, defining user requirements for the development team using an agile framework, and ultimately seeing roadmap items through the software development lifecycle through deployment. The product owner will maintain a product roadmap to guide long term product success in support of the organization’s strategic goals.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities </strong>(Position may include additional functions not listed)</p><p>· Develop extensive knowledge of the organization’s technology platform, including policy and business requirements, as well as user needs.</p><p>· Conduct market research and analyze market trends related to the exchange platform, healthcare digital products, insurance, tax, and federal health programs.</p><p>· Apply best practices in product evaluation and design to build high quality scalable products.</p><p>· Establish structured intake and prioritization processes for product feedback.</p><p>· Assess product opportunities and risks based on user input and needs and market tends to define the overall product strategy and roadmap for product area.</p><p>· Appraise new product ideas based on ROI and a buy-vs-build perspective.</p><p>· Manage and prioritize the product backlog while considering input from key stakeholders.</p><p>· Apply techniques for roadmap prioritization to ensure continued delivery of high value enhancements for the organization.</p><p>· Document product epics, stories, and tasks to ensure effective completion of roadmap milestones through the development process.</p><p>· Collaborate closely with a team of internal and external software developers to ensure the product vision is actualized in an effective manner through the development lifecycle.</p><p>· Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure the right stakeholders are engaged at the right time in the product lifecycle.</p><p>· Prepare product documentation including product specifications, user guides, UAT documents, launch strategies, and change notifications.</p><p>· Collaborate and communicate effectively with quality analysts, business analysts, and other internal roles to ensure cohesive interpretation of the products’ functions.</p><p>· Collaborate with release management on planning cadences and roadmap reviews to plan releases based on the overall vision for the product roadmap and evolution over time.</p><p>· Collaborate closely with internal security experts to ensure products apply system and data security best practices while complying with HIPAA, ARC-AMPE, and other security frameworks.</p><p>· Define, analyze and standardize key product metrics for clarity and consistency.</p><p>· Apply a deep understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SLDC) methodologies</p><p>· Perform other duties as assigned.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications </strong>(Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.)</p><p>· Bachelor’s degree in business, software development, product engineering, or related discipline</p><p>· 3+ years’ experience in Product Operations, Product Management, Program Management, or a similar cross-functional leadership role</p><p>· Ability to research, define and analyze business problems</p><p>· Proven experience functioning within the software development life cycle</p><p>· Exceptional customer service skills including an aptitude and temperament for technical systems development.</p><p>· Experience using the Atlassian Product suite as well as participating in the software development lifecycle through Agile methodologies.</p><p>· Experience optimizing complex enterprise systems.</p><p>· Knowledge of software development and maintenance methodologies</p><p>· Proficient with Windows and web-based systems including Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio</p><p>· Critical thinking abilities to take complex, ambiguous, abstract requirements and break them into smaller components, patterns, views and features</p><p>· Ability to effectively communicate business concepts to technical audiences as well as technical and data concepts to non-technical audiences</p><p>· Strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills</p><p>· Excellent verbal and written communication as well as business writing skills</p><p>· Proven ability in relationship building and facilitation</p><p>· Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality policies and procedures consistent with the values and integrity of YHI</p><p>· Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced, quickly evolving organization, manage multiple complex priorities and respond effectively to change.</p><p>· Ability to work with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines</p><p>· A committed self-starter with exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to develop and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>",
