Our mission is to empower those we serve by fostering independence and enhancing their quality of life.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summary</span></span></p>\n<p>The Habilitation Manager leads and supervises the Support Trainers (DSP) team and day-to-day habilitation services to ensure every resident receives continuous active treatment, individualized supports, and protection of rights in compliance with federal ICF/IID Conditions of Participation. The Manager is responsible for staff training/competency, program implementation, performance management, incident/investigation oversight, and preparation for surveys.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(224, 62, 45)\">A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback that supports employee growth and accountability. This individual must be comfortable addressing performance concerns and conducting employee corrections in a professional, respectful, and timely manner. They will maintain a positive attitude, foster a supportive work environment, and lead by example through consistent professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic. As a role model for the team, the successful candidate will promote organizational values, encourage collaboration, and inspire others through their actions, behavior, and commitment to excellence.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Schedule</span></span></p>\n<p>The Habilitation Manager is a full-time, exempt, position and may require more than 40 hours per week.  The regular work schedule will include variations of regular work hours but may be required to adjust their work schedule to meet with staff who work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.  The hours of work will be determined upon hire but will expect adjustment as needed.  This position will also be on rotation for the ICF/IID On-Call duties. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee planning, implementation, and documentation of residents’ active treatment programs in compliance with ICF/IID regulations</li>\n<li>Supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), including onboarding, training, coaching, evaluations, and discipline</li>\n<li>Ensure staff competency through ongoing training, health and safety education, and routine performance checks</li>\n<li>Coordinate with QIDP, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to support habilitation goals and behavior plans</li>\n<li>Monitor staffing levels and scheduling to meet active treatment and resident care needs</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate personnel, training, program, and incident documentation; prepare for surveys and audits</li>\n<li>Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts, including emergency preparedness and outcome tracking</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with abuse/neglect prevention, reporting requirements, and internal investigations</li>\n<li>Maintain facility safety, cleanliness, and security standards</li>\n<li>Participate in meetings, trainings, and on-call rotation as required</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of ICF/IID Conditions of Participation</li>\n<li>Supervisory experience in I/DD services or related healthcare setting</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of active treatment principles, individual program planning, behavior supports, and documentation expectations</li>\n<li>Training/competency skills</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills for interacting with families, interdisciplinary staff, and regulatory surveyors</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google tools, and other software systems is required, as is the ability to quickly learn and utilize scheduling software.</li>\n<li>Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends is necessary to support facility operations.<br></li>\n<li>CPR/First aid certification is a plus.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Bachelor’s degree is not required but will be considered for this position.  The Bachelor’s degree would need to be in special education, rehabilitation, psychology, social work, nursing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.</span></li>\n<li>21+ with a clean driving record</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, we invite you to apply today and join our dedicated team at Developmental Options!</p>",
