These services are provided within an individual and group context. Responsibilities include intensive case management, medication management, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, consultation to community agencies, group/community education, student mentoring, documentation, client/family and public education, advocacy, and mental health promotion. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience 1 year experience in a mental health setting. Three (3) years nursing experience Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Other Education and Training Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies Decision making skills Critical thinking skills Advanced - Demonstrates word processing skills using Microsoft Office programs Knowledge and Abilities Demonstrates empathy, trust and respect in the provision of care Advanced knowledge of drug abuse and their effects during use and withdrawal Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
