The Lead Maintenance Technician oversees and performs maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance activities for residential, commercial, or housing facilities. This position provides technical guidance to maintenance staff, coordinates work assignments, and ensures facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position requires compliance with Yakutat Tlingit Tribe’s compliance standards, including its Standards of Conduct, Compliance Program, and policies and procedures. Such compliance will be an element considered as part of the position’s regular performance. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\"> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Essential Functions:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and assign maintenance work to technicians and maintenance staff.</li>\n<li>Perform maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance systems.</li>\n<li>Conduct inspections of facilities, buildings, and grounds.</li>\n<li>Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and repair activities.</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.</li>\n<li>Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.</li>\n<li>Respond to emergency maintenance situations as required.</li>\n<li>Document completed work orders and maintenance activities.</li>\n<li>Train maintenance personnel in proper procedures and safety practices.</li>\n<li>Other operational duties as assigned.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</span></span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Knowledge</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Building maintenance systems and practices.</li>\n<li>Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.</li>\n<li>Occupational safety standards and procedures.</li>\n<li>Preventative maintenance principles.</li>\n</ul>\n<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical troubleshooting and repair.</li>\n<li>Staff leadership and coordination.</li>\n<li>Recordkeeping and documentation.</li>\n<li>Customer service and communication.</li>\n<li>Equipment operation and maintenance.</li>\n</ul>\n<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Abilities</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to diagnose maintenance issues accurately.</li>\n<li>Ability to read a tape measure and follow instructions</li>\n<li>Ability to supervise maintenance activities and personnel.</li>\n<li>Ability to read technical manuals and work orders.</li>\n<li>Ability to safely operate tools and equipment.</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergencies.</li>\n</ul>\n<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Work Environment/Physical Demands:</span></span></p>\n<p>The following demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; climb ladders, crawl, need full mobility of all limbs able to navigate and work in tight/closed areas. Must not be claustrophobic, acrophobic, or be colorblind.
