Our leading brands include<strong> ITT Cannon, Enidine, Aerospace Controls</strong> and <strong>kSARIA. </strong></p>\n<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a <strong>Pump Mechanic/Inspector</strong> to support our aftermarket repair and upgrade business in our Colfax PRO Services shop located in Colfax, NC. Building on centuries of pump design experience, PRO Services provides an array of services focuses on reducing equipment total cost of ownership and increasing plant output, including condition monitoring, predictive maintenance contracts, field service, engineered upgrades, inventory management, and overhauls for pumps and other rotating equipment.</p>\n<h2>Essential Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>May include:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide work scope and material based upon customer’s requirements and specifications. </li>\n <li>Reports defects in materials, rework, missed inspections, job delays, and/or problem areas to applicable internal/external customers.</li>\n <li>Ensures accuracy and completeness of all relevant inspection sheets and drawings.</li>\n <li>Reviews and inspects all running clearances of equipment needing to be assembled prior to final assembly of equipment.</li>\n <li>Conducts final inspection of all machined parts (repaired or newly manufactured) to ensure work piece is complete and accurate.</li>\n <li>Performs final inspection of assembled equipment, records the data and coordinating final documentation prior to products shipment to customer. </li>\n <li>Safely perform air and hydro-testing of equipment. </li>\n <li>Adhere to all ITT policies and procedures, including Time and Attendance, safety, and productivity. </li>\n <li>Keep safety at the forefront and work safely while helping colleagues. </li>\n <li>Partner with cross functional teams such as Engineering, as needed. </li>\n <li>Produce sketches and drawings for machining of the pump components that will be repaired.</li>\n <li>Inspect components and assembled products to ensure accuracy and precision, recording inspection results to include fits, clearances, and runouts. </li>\n <li>Escalate job related issues or concerns by effectively communicating to peers and/or supervisors.</li>\n <li>Utilize cranes and/or other lifting devices to move heavy equipment.</li>\n <li>Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Position Requirements</h2>\n<p><strong>Knowledge & Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse client group.</li>\n <li>Ability to troubleshoot in-depth issues with rotating equipment.</li>\n <li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pump drawings.</li>\n <li>Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues.</li>\n <li>Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively communicate ideas and properly describe problems and solutions.</li>\n <li>Ability to work overtime hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed by customer demands and/or business needs. </li>\n <li>Customer service mindset to ensure on-time delivery and quality workmanship. </li>\n <li>Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, time management, and prioritization skills.</li>\n <li>Well-developed planning, organization, analytical, and decision-making skills</li>\n <li>Ability to produce clear, timely, and concise documentation and have well-developed problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.</li>\n <li>Proficient in relevant PC skills.</li>\n <li>Strong drive to make things happen and a strong “can do” attitude.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of service environment activities including DCI, machining, assembly, test, and field service for rotating equipment.</li>\n <li>Understand different materials and their properties.</li>\n <li>Ability to work efficiently within the fixed time window for each manufacturing process.</li>\n <li>Willingness to work on teams and engage in on going Continuous Improvements within facility.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>10+ experience troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment.</li>\n <li>Experience in reading blueprints including GT&T</li>\n <li>Experience operating lifting devices, including cranes and forklifts</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED Equivalent</li>\n <li>Vocational/ Technical Degree preferred </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to  finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and smell.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Must be able to wear personal protective equipment - as required by PPE Assessment.
