TITLE: T itle III Director DEPARTMENT: Office of the President REPORTS TO: University President CLASSIFICATION: Staff-12 months EFFECTIVE DATE: TBD STANDARD WORK HOURS: 37.5 hours per week EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Exempt JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Title III monitors the programmatic and fiscal activities of grants awarded to the University. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide assistance in the determination of institutional needs and program effectiveness in relation to the institution's perception of its mission and program development. Provide leadership in the establishment of progress indicators and to establish means for monitoring the performance of each program. Coordinate the effective implementation of Title III Program activities. Coordinate and monitor Title III program activities to facilitate maximum utilization of program resources. Establish an effective monitoring system and maintain effective lines of communication with the President and Executive Director of Government Relations to ensure that the program operation is consistent with goals of overall institutional development. Assist in the development of proposals, reports, plans of operation, working budgets, and other documents critical to the management of each Title III activity. Maintain a file which documents all Title III activities including, but not limited to guidelines, proposals, plans of operation, budgets, daily accounts of balances of individual program budgets, and up-to-date records of Title III inventory. Monitor and provide Activity Directors financial reports to achieve program/activity objectives during the grant period. Prepare and submit periodic status reports on all activities funded under the Institutional Aid Program. Coordinate and disseminate internal and external evaluations both formative and summative to all Institutional Aid Program activities funded at the institution. Manage the day to operations of the department including supervision and evaluation of personnel. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Knowledge of technology to support grant administration. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills. A demonstrated ability to work as a member of leadership team. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position does have supervisory responsibility. OTHER DUTIES: Performs other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in business administration, public policy, or related field. Supervisory skills. 3 to 5 years of successful directing of a Title III grant or a comparable large, federal grant. 3 to 5 years of campus wide programming in higher education. Excellent written and oral communication skills employing Standard English. Writing samples may be request. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Good problem-solving skills. Licensing and Certifications: NA WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods. Occasional ability to lift, carry, and put away parcels weighing up to 20 pounds. Normal physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place. Normal physical strength to handle routine office materials and tools. Normal endurance.
