    "description": "<p>Rock West Composites, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an<span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> Assembly Technician.</span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Rock West Composites, Inc. is an engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for commercial and government customers. We currently have positions available for both 1st shift and second shift.</p>\n<p>1st Shift Hours: 6:00am-3:30pm</p>\n<p>2nd Shift Hours: 3:30pm-12:30am </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span></p>\n<p>Performs a variety of manufacturing operations essential to completing sub-assemblies and final assemblies for composites and sheet metal aircraft components while maintaining all engineering requirements and quality standards. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and Manufacturing Plans to assemble composite and sheet metal components.</li>\n<li>Bond various materials such as composites, metals, and laminates, for assemblies, parts, components, and structures.</li>\n<li>Align components and sub-assemblies on jigs and fixtures.</li>\n<li>Layout, drill, form, and trim aircraft component parts and sub-assemblies.</li>\n<li>Perform part-fitting operations including filing, sawing, burring, trimming, drilling, reaming, and riveting.</li>\n<li>Mix and apply 2-part adhesive for sealing and edge bonding.</li>\n<li>Familiar with manufacturing execution systems for electronic buy off and status of work<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Non-Essential Functions:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Education and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret aircraft blueprints.</li>\n<li>Experience working with mylar overlays.</li>\n<li>Minimum 6 years of experience in composites and/or sheet metal assembly</li>\n<li>Experience/ expertise using drill motors, rivet guns, die grinders, cleco pliers, countersink cages, and standard hand tools and measurement equipment including calipers and micrometers.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of aircraft hardware, materials, and processes</li>\n<li>Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude</li>\n<li>Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred</li>\n<li>Education: High School Diploma<br></li>\n<li>US.
