Solution – Based casework helps children and families to be the solution to the seemingly insurmountable problems in their lives, from generational cycles of poverty, abuse, and neglect to unemployment, domestic violence, and severe health problems. By recognizing and reinforcing their innate strengths and ability to cope, we at Graham Windham empower them to take the lead in making change in their lives. About the Program At Graham Windham our Family Foster Care programs help children to get back to their families, adopted into a new family or connected to someone who is willing to be an anchor for children, throughout their childhood and into adulthood. To help us do that, we have hundreds of loving & highly qualified foster parents primarily in Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx and Westchester County- who serve as our foster children's substitute family. PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE: The Family Zone Coordinator is responsible for the monitoring of the reception area and the maintenance and management of the family visit space at 540 Atlantic Office. Duties and Responsibilities: • Exhibits regular and punctual attendance • Manage day to day operations of the Family Zone and waiting area • Receive and greet all visitors/families in a professional and warm manner and exhibit good customer service • Assign families to the cubicle/visit room in the Family Zone and assure that the cubicles and visit rooms are clean and ready for use between visits and sanitize toys at the end of each use by using antibacterial wipes and Lysol spray • Assures that case planners and case aides use the Sign-in/Sign-out sheet for toys, games and books that will be used during the family visit and return at the conclusion of the visit • Maintain an inventory of toys and games by submitting a report to the Operations Manager by the 5th of each month. • Prepare and submits request for replacement of toys and games as needed to the Operations Manager. • Assure safety of children and welcoming environment by reporting any needed replacement and repairs of space and furniture to the Operations Manager. Clerical Responsibilities: • Process incoming and outgoing telephone calls on a daily basis and accepts and distributes all incoming mails and deliveries related to staff. • Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization and monitor visitor access by providing temporary pass to visitors • Oversees vehicle scheduling – include maintaining accurate sign-in/out vehicle log – on a daily basis. • Generates correspondence, administrative reports incident reports from security and other related documentation as assigned Qualifications: HSD or GED equivalency required, some college preferred; Related work experience preferred; must possess excellent communication skills; Ability to work with diverse populations and cultures; process information and respond appropriately; ability to work with families/ children and staff; exceptional time management and organizational skills; detail-orientated, personable and team oriented; Computer literate. Full Time position; $15 per hour.
