LaPrairie is 100% Canadian owned and operated.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Description:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide the Business Manager and Executive with timely financial and operational analysis and data that will optimize and promote day-to-day profitability and efficiency.</li>\n<li>Ensure accuracy, proper coding and timeliness of financial information.</li>\n<li>Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.</li>\n<li>Manage accounting staff to ensure accuracy and processing timelines are met – accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing and payroll.</li>\n<li>Review, prepare and ensure payment of GST, PST and other applicable taxes.</li>\n<li>Manage taxation audits when they arise.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Use in-house software programs to gather necessary financial data required for financial analysis and reporting.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Other related accounting duties as required or assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years full-cycle senior accounting.</li>\n<li>CPA or accounting designation is an asset, but not a requirement.</li>\n<li>Previous work experience at equipment repair shops, car dealerships, or fleet maintenance facilities would be a definite asset.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to communication professionally – both verbally and in writing.</li>\n<li>Ability to build and maintain great relationships with managers and co-workers.</li>\n<li>Ability to maintain good customer and vendor relationships is a benefit.</li>\n<li>Good organizational and time management skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The preference is for this position to be located at the Northland Fleet Services facility in Tumbler Ridge, BC. </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This location of this position, for the right candidate, can also be at one of LaPrairie’s facilities in Grande Prairie, Alberta, or Calgary, Alberta.<br></span><br></p>\n<p>Interested candidates are invited to submit their application, including a resume and cover letter.
