Ensures consistent implementation of evidence-based infection control practices, regulatory compliance, and surveillance systems across various care settings. Provides strategic guidance to facility-level Infection Preventionists, supports the development and standardization of policies and procedures, and fosters a culture of safety and quality. Coordinates regional initiatives, delivers consultative services to outpatient and ambulatory teams, and serves as a subject matter expert in communicable disease management, regulatory standards (OSHA, IOSHA, ISDH, CDC), and epidemiology. Partners closely with system-level infection prevention leadership and actively participates in shared governance committees to align regional efforts with enterprise-wide goals and drive continuous improvement in infection prevention outcomes.&nbsp;</p><p>This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday day shift with homebase at Methodist Hospital. This role supports the entire Indy Metro Region: Methodist Hospital, University Hospital, North Hospital, Fishers Hospital, West Hospital, all outpatient centers, and will collaborate with Riley Hospital. Previous leadership experience is strongly preferred.</p><p><strong>Key Relationships</strong></p><p><u>Reports to</u>: Executive Director- Quality and Safety</p><p><u>Direct Reports:</u> 12</p><p><u>Key Relationships</u>: Clinical and Physician Leadership</p><p><strong>Candidate Qualifications</strong></p><p>Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>3 plus years in infection prevention is preferred.</li><li>Requires Certification in Infection Prevention.</li><li>Completion of mentorship and leadership courses are required within the first year of hire.</li><li>Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Indiana University Health is&nbsp;unlike any other healthcare system and we're looking for team members who share the things that matter most to us.
