Working closely with members of the IT department, internal stakeholders, and third parties, you will deliver high-quality mobile solutions that meet our evolving business needs. While the primary focus of this role is mobile development, experience with web development — particularly PHP with focus on the Laravel framework — is desirable and would be an advantage.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Lead the design, development, and maintenance of mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native.</li>\n<li>Design and implement intuitive, performant user interfaces and experiences for mobile, following platform-specific UX conventions.</li>\n<li>Integrate EMG and third-party APIs and services into mobile applications to enhance functionality and user experience.</li>\n<li>Deploy and manage mobile applications through the App Store and Google Play, ensuring a smooth and reliable release process.</li>\n<li>Monitor mobile application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.</li>\n<li>Ensure security best practices are adhered to and regular security reviews are performed.</li>\n<li>Lead technical discussions within the Mobile and Web workstream, ensuring alignment with agreed technical principles, business goals, and best practices.</li>\n<li>Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope and deliver solutions on time.</li>\n<li>Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in mobile development, AWS services, and cloud computing.</li>\n<li>Contribute to code peer reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Skills and Experience</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ideally degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.</li>\n<li>Proven, demonstrable experience building mobile applications for iOS and/or Android using React Native.</li>\n<li>Strong command of JavaScript and/or TypeScript within the React ecosystem.</li>\n<li>Experience with mobile app deployment via App Store Connect and Google Play Console.</li>\n<li>Solid experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services into mobile applications.</li>\n<li>Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFront).</li>\n<li>Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.</li>\n<li>Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.</li>\n<li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li>\n<li>Proven leadership skills, including developing and mentoring others.</li>\n<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience developing web solutions using PHP and Laravel.</li>\n<li>Experience of MySQL and RESTful API development in a web context.</li>\n<li>Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks for web front-end development.</li>\n<li>Experience with content management systems such as WordPress.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of web accessibility standards and responsive design principles.</li>\n<li>Experience integrating analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or UTM tracking.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What We Offer</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hybrid working — minimum 3 days per week in our Newcastle upon Tyne office.</li>\n<li>Collaborative team environment within a growing technology function.</li>\n<li>Opportunity to develop Salesforce expertise across Sales, Service, and Marketing clouds.</li>\n<li>Competitive salary and benefits package.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
