As we continue to grow, we are seeking a results-oriented team member who shares these values.</p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong><br>&nbsp;The Medical Gas Project &amp; Estimating Specialist is a dual-function position combining Medical Gas Estimating and Project Coordination. This role operates as part of a three-person support team consisting of:</p><p>&bull; One dedicated Sales Representative<br>&nbsp;&bull; One Medical Gas Account Manager<br>&nbsp;&bull; This Medical Gas Project &amp; Estimating Specialist</p><p>Together, the team manages all opportunities, quotes, customer requests, and project workflows within the assigned book of business.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Three-Person Team Collaboration</strong></p><p>&bull; Work collaboratively with the Sales Representative and Medical Gas Account Manager as part of a three-person support team.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Coordinate task distribution to ensure quotes, takeoffs, submittals, purchase orders, delivery requests, and contractor needs are handled quickly and accurately.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Support customer follow-up, project continuity, and scope accuracy across all active jobs.</p><p><strong>Estimating</strong></p><p>&bull; Prepare accurate and timely quotes, including plan reviews and evaluation of equipment specifications.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Perform detailed and accurate takeoffs.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Ensure all estimates meet required margin targets.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Read and interpret plumbing and medical gas blueprints and written specifications.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Identify and resolve discrepancies between plans, specifications, proposals, and purchase orders.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Review subcontractor proposals to ensure scope alignment.</p><p><strong>Project Coordination</strong></p><p>&bull; Manage orders from quote approval through material delivery, including PO processing and vendor acknowledgements.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Coordinate submittals, delivery requests, and order tracking.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to quotes, orders, and project status.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Troubleshoot order inconsistencies, backorders, shipping issues, and change requests.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Collaborate with technicians, vendors, manufacturers, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Maintain organized project files, documentation, and schedules.</p><p><strong>Multi-Tasking Requirements</strong><br>&nbsp;Must effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks, including:</p><p>&bull; Quotes<br>&nbsp;&bull; Takeoffs<br>&nbsp;&bull; Submittals<br>&nbsp;&bull; Delivery Requests<br>&nbsp;&bull; Purchase Orders<br>&nbsp;&bull; Contractor Requests<br>&nbsp;&bull; Vendor Communications<br>&nbsp;&bull; Project Documentation</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>&bull; 5+ years&rsquo; experience with a mid-size or large plumbing contractor performing both plumbing estimating and project management (required).<br>&nbsp;&bull; Strong understanding of plumbing, mechanical, or medical gas construction estimating processes.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Ability to read and interpret engineered plans, blueprints, and specifications.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Medical gas field experience preferred but not required.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Knowledge of NFPA 99 preferred.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Strong mathematical, communication, and problem-solving skills.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; NetSuite experience preferred.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Highly organized and capable of managing a high-volume, fast-paced workload.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to accuracy and quality.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Able to work independently and within a collaborative team structure.<br>&nbsp;&bull; Professional appearance, strong customer service skills, and alignment with MTA&rsquo;s core values: Integrity, Safety, and Customer Service.</p></div></div>\n",
