The&nbsp;Bluebonnet Detention Center&nbsp;in&nbsp;Anson,&nbsp;TX&nbsp;is looking for your compassionate care and expertise in our medical department! Our dedicated staff work to improve lives through education, healthcare, and a variety of support services.</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>What you’ll do:</strong> Prepare detainees for examination and treatment in compliance with MTC Medical and customer directives.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong> &nbsp;</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Assist the dentist in performing services by preparing detainees in chair and handling required instruments, equipment and dental plastics.</li>\n <li>Sterilize instruments and keep office stocked with required supplies.</li>\n <li>Arrange and maintain appointment schedule, perform clerical duties as necessary.</li>\n <li>Keep records of inmates. Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records; observe applicable HIPPA rules.</li>\n <li>Provide post-operative and oral hygiene instructions as prescribed by the dentist.</li>\n <li>Assist in taking patient X-rays.</li>\n <li>Requires periods of prolonged walking and standing.</li>\n <li>Regular attendance is required.</li>\n <li>Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques.</li>\n <li>Maintain accountability of staff, detainees and property; adhere to safety practices.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Education and Experience Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months clinical dental assistant experience, current certification or registration as a dental assistant in the state of Texas, and current certification in dental radiological procedures. Must possess current CPR certification. Continuing education as required. Must successfully complete required preservice training.
