Description

JOB SUMMARY Operate the Press Brake machines and support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, and punching or sawing metal products as instructed by production demands. Produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanically engineered drawings. JOB FUNCTIONS Essential Functions • Set up and perform machine operations requiring a high degree of skill and experience in a manufacturing environment. • Set up proper punches and dies based on material thickness and type. • Read and understand engineering tool and prototype drawings and specifications. • Inspect own production frequently using proper gauges or measuring instrument in order to hold precise tolerances for quality control. • Set up tooling, load programs, and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment. Required for All Jobs • Performs other duties as assigned. • Following all rules, policies, and procedures established by Wood-Mizer, including codes of conduct, safety regulations, and other guidelines. • Showing up for work on time and adhering to Wood-Mizer's attendance policies is a fundamental responsibility for all employees. • Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment. • Conducting oneself in a professional manner, which includes maintaining a positive attitude, respecting colleagues, and presenting oneself appropriately. • Completing assigned tasks and projects within the given time frame, meeting deadlines, and delivering on commitments. QUALIFICATIONS Work Experience 1-3 years Machining Experience Required 1-3 years Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Practices Preferred Licenses and Certifications N/A Education High School Diploma General Studies Required Trade School Certificate in any Technical areas Preferred 2ND SHIFT MON - FRI (2P - 10P)
