We’re looking for a <strong>Benefits Specialist</strong> to join our Total Rewards team; someone who brings both technical expertise and a people-first mindset to help design and deliver meaningful, competitive benefits programs.</p>\n<p>At BC Ferries, Total Rewards is more than programs and policies; it’s about supporting the people who keep our coastal communities connected.  In this role, you will be the subject matter expert on all benefits plan arrangements/offerings for the company, including retirement planning, leave policies, wellness programs, and any relevant insurance policies including life insurance, health and disability insurance.</p>\n<p>Join us and help shape benefits that make a real impact on employees and their families across British Columbia.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>The Role:</strong></p>\n<p>Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Researching, costing and analyzing benefit plan designs, offerings, policies, and programs to drive value and effectiveness;</li>\n <li>Developing clear guidelines and providing direction to benefits administrators and PX teams, while auditing carrier records to ensure accuracy and integrity of coverage;</li>\n <li>Providing expert input and support in the development, review, and refinement of benefit-related policies;</li>\n <li>Maintaining accurate, up-to-date benefits information while proactively educating and engaging employees and leaders to maximize awareness and utilization;</li>\n <li>Evaluating workforce needs, utilization trends, and service satisfaction metrics to generate data-driven insights and inform strategic recommendations;</li>\n <li>Monitoring industry trends, legislative changes, and emerging best practices to ensure programs remain competitive, compliant, and forward-thinking.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>What you bring to the team</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A degree in Human Resources or a related field</li>\n <li>Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (CEBS) designation (or working toward it) is considered an asset</li>\n <li>A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in benefits and total rewards</li>\n <li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights</li>\n <li>Experience managing benefit vendors and participating in RFP processes</li>\n <li>A solid understanding of benefits legislation, trends, and best practices</li>\n <li>A proactive, collaborative approach with strong communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Join us!</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>If this sounds like your next great career move, please submit your cover letter and resume by<strong> June 23, 2026 </strong>by 11:59pm.</p>\n<p><strong>  </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Additional information</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>The target salary range: $83,500 - $104,300 annum.
