These components represent our strong value alignment, positively impacting patient care, infection prevention, and throughput.</p>\n<h2>The Role</h2>\n<p>As the Director of Environment Services (EVS) in healthcare, you will lead a diverse team of exempt and non-exempt staff. You will be responsible for one or more healthcare sites with high volume, significant complexity, and are the single point of contact for Servicon’s client(s) at this site. You are responsible for delivering best-in-class outcomes for patient, families, clinical staff, clients, and Servicon’s leadership team. This is done at a strategic level, driving operational results that achieve strategic outcomes.</p>\n<h2>What You Will Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Plans, directs, leads, and coordinates the organizational, technical, and administrative functions in all EVS areas at healthcare client site(s)</li>\n <li>Leads the EVS department, overseeing all Servicon EVS systems/processes/programs</li>\n <li>Monitors operational programs, assuring that site(s) are maintained as safe and clean</li>\n <li>Assures that the EVS department follows techniques that drive results, both for the EVS team as well as client and Servicon leadership. This includes Quality Improvement, EVS tech training for optimal results, Infection Prevention products and techniques based on client requirements, and management of labor productivity, client budget, KPI and Goal tracking, and budget adherence</li>\n <li>Maintains up-to-date knowledge of latest environmental trends, products, and regulatory requirements necessary to deliver efficient and effective EVS results</li>\n <li>Ensures EVS is delivered to healthcare client and completed to contractual specifications. When needed, is the point of escalation for questions/concerns</li>\n <li>Recruits for site managers/asst dirs., including requisition, interviewing, and selection. Once selected, responsible for orienting, training, and developing these new leaders</li>\n <li>Models and ensures safety standards and behaviors</li>\n <li>Leads, trains, and mentor’s supervisors and managers effectively for growth</li>\n <li>Identifies and implements best practices: innovative ideas to improve service and efficiency</li>\n <li>Builds interdepartmental leader relationships centered on executing agreed upon strategy within the hospital</li>\n <li>Other duties and as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What It Takes To Be Successful</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of four (4) years’ relevant managerial experience in Facility Services or a related field</li>\n <li>Strong commitment to high-level service and quality standards</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, develop and lead a team</li>\n <li>Willingness to work a variable work schedule—to include, day shifts, evening, and night shifts</li>\n <li>Efficient computer knowledge, proficiency in utilizing all Microsoft Office programs</li>\n <li>Experience working with union contracts is preferred</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain security clearance</li>\n <li>Must be Bilingual (Spanish/English)</li>\n <li> A criminal background check, results of which are not necessarily a bar to employment and drug screen are required</li>\n <li>Must possess AND maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record that aligns with company standards</li>\n <li>Vaccination requirements may vary by client site</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why You Will Love It Here</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>6+ years in healthcare EVS; minimum 5 years at a senior leadership level</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of experience</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow a team</li>\n <li>Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to run relevant data reports and derive conclusions.</li>\n <li>Exceptional written and oral communication and active listening skills. Demonstrated capabilities to operate with empathy</li>\n <li>Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred</li>\n <li>Experience working with unions and CBA’s is preferred.</li>\n <li>Proficient with a variety of technology such timekeeping systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), and financial acumen</li>\n <li>AA or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Healthcare EVS experience and leadership</li>\n <li>May require travel at this level</li>\n</ul>",
