Schedule: Compressed Scheduled Days
Pay Rate: $24 - $26/hr
Location: Austin, Texas
Position Type: Full Time
Benefits: This position is eligible for WGNSTAR’s full benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k). Additional benefits are listed at the end of this posting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Work on systems and maintain supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LEDs, and Flat Screen TV's. Operate assigned gas distribution systems. Perform the handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers. Troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance on gas and chemical equipment. Operate a computer to support job functions. Requirements: Ability to work with chemicals, including using a Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator for short periods of time. Requires 2 years of experience in a relevant field and/or familiarity with gas handling and distribution systems. Previous experience in a technical or maintenance role, ideally in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment. Strong computer skills for system operation and troubleshooting. High attention to detail with a strong focus on safety procedures.
Physical Effort/Activities:
May be required to walk up to 5+ miles per day, be on feet for 8-10 hours at a time, and occasionally climb ladders while utilizing fall protection. The ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds is required. Some tasks may require wearing a Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator for short periods (10-15 minutes) while working with chemicals. PPE made available includes safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, and more.
