It’s also about how we support one another and how we show up for our community. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Together, we keep getting better - advancing our mission to transform healthcare and serve as a leader of positive change.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Research Pharmacist</strong> is responsible for the review, evaluation, and coordination of investigational drug research studies in the Pharmacy.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>A day in the life of a <strong>Research Pharmacist</strong> at <strong>Hackensack Meridian <em>Health</em></strong> includes:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information relating to drug research studies for the Pharmacy Department, including: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Committee and project participation as required for completion of assigned duties. </li>\n   <li>Human participant protection education. </li>\n   <li>Research protocol review. </li>\n   <li>Completion of Pharmacy assessment resource utilization for research studies. </li>\n   <li>Preparation of medication fact sheet for the research manual. </li>\n   <li>In-servicing of appropriate pharmacy and medical personnel. </li>\n   <li>Participation in initiation visits, audits and closeouts. </li>\n   <li>Travel to start-up meetings when appropriate.</li>\n   <li>Extraction, Building, Research Beacon Plans, INV ERX Willow Builds for assigned research divisions.</li>\n   <li>Partner, collaboration, coordination with research divisions to ensure review and validation of research beacon plans.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Complies with all state and federal regulations and Medical Center policies and procedures relating to drug dispensing, including appropriate handling of drug products, adherence to security procedures, and completion of necessary documentation. This includes appropriate control and dispensing of controlled dangerous substances and investigational drugs. </li>\n <li>Provides accurate information to patients and health care professionals as required. </li>\n <li>Calculates dosages for patients of different age groups. </li>\n <li>Reviews medication orders and clarifies any and all potential problems with orders.</li>\n <li>Monitors patient drug therapy regimens for allergies, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, and potential adverse reactions.</li>\n <li>Employs principles of safe medication practice as dictated by departmental and organizational policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Participates in the Pharmacy Practice Residency program as a preceptor and member of the Residency Advisory Committee. </li>\n <li>Provides staffing coverage when necessary and depending upon assigned area(s) of research (e.g., oncology).</li>\n <li>Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.) This process includes communicating with the patient, parent and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.). </li>\n <li>Other duties and/or projects as assigned. </li>\n <li>Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy, or equivalent, with a minimum of a BS Pharmacy or a Pharm. D degree. </li>\n <li>Work experience in a specific area of pharmacy practice may be required depending upon research responsibilities (e.g., oncology). </li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous knowledge and/or experience with handling investigational drugs. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licenses and Certifications Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Registered Pharmacist License.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If you feel that the above description speaks directly to your strengths and capabilities, then please apply today!    </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Starting Minimum Rate</h2>Minimum rate of $75.03 Hourly\n<h2>Job Posting Disclosure</h2>HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
