The Opportunity Under the supervision of the Assistant Principal of Student Supports, the  Culture Coordinator will provide an essential role of building culture of respect by enforcing our discipline policies and procedures. In this role, the Culture Coordinator will support with Tier 1 and Tier 2 discipline.  The Culture Coordinator  will  act as member of the School Team communicating with students, teachers and parents to ensure there is constant communication and follow through with respect to student behavior. Responsibilities Essential Functions Maintain and implement a positive behavior management system Support with all student disciplinary matters, including suspensions, detentions and family interactions In conjunction with the leadership team, create individual plans for students with behavior challenges Collaborate with teachers to provide extra interventions for students Facilitate grade level/community meetings and assemblies Collaborate with the Assistant Principal of Student Supports (APSS) and leadership team to monitor school wide dress code policy Collaborate with the APSS and leadership team to monitor SARB process Lead the campus aid team and implement professional development workshops for the team based on observations and feedback from the leadership team Attend school culture walkthroughs Oversee, plan and monitor student supervision May supervise and evaluate campus aides Other duties as assigned NON-DISCRIMINATION STATEMENT Camino Nuevo Charter Academy (CNCA) prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation and bullying in educational programs, activities, or employment on the basis of actual or perceived ancestry, age, color, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, parental, pregnancy, family or marital status, military status or association with a person or a group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics. Qualifications Associate Degree or two years of higher education coursework preferred 1-2 years’ experience working in urban schools or in organizational operations Spanish and English fluency required Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment required Prior experience working with students in an academic or recreational setting preferred Excellent organizational, planning and implementation skills Strong interpersonal skills Positive energy and the ability to be a strong role model for students Ability to exemplify the respect and humility required to work effectively with all stakeholders, including families and members of the community Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and all staff members Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive, productive relationships with all school community stakeholders Ability to define and articulate a school philosophy aligned to the CNCA vision Ability to manage various tasks while being highly organized and outcome oriented Ability to demonstrate leadership and project management skills needed to facilitate a group or project Ability to prioritize mission critical tasks based on school performance goals Ability to work fluidly with Microsoft Office applications
